How many mints are in each package

1000 mints per box. Didn't actually count but that's what the description said when I read before I ordered. I would say there are definitely 1000

Is the mint flavor peppermint, like for after dinner?

These butter mints strongly taste of peppermint oil. I prefer a milder taste but others may appreciate having more flavor. I also like a butter mint to be creamy and melt like butter in my mouth, not dry and scratchy.
