What are the dimensions of holes themselves?

Holes 3" x 3 1/4" and it is NOT made in USA as stated in description. It is made in China. If my husband hadn't already had it put together by the time I got back to my office, I'd definitely have sent it back. The item is totally overpriced and misrepresented. I try to never buy things made in China.
