My girl is a fan of Harry Potter. This was a great gift. It actually writes in invisible ink which is only visible with the special light.

My 10 year old granddaughter loved it!

Gave five of these out at Christmas to my grandchildren ages 6 through 8. The book is well-made the invisible ink/pen works perfectly and the whole “lock up your diary “ concept was intriguing to them. However, at this young age with no real exposure to Harry Potter, and not much in the way of writing skills nor journaling, I think this is a gift suitable for a much older child who is much more into Harry Potter.
