Works Just FIne
I thought it worked just fine. It did NO damage to the Rails on 2 FWB 124s and 2 Beeman R1s. Unless you are taking apart and tuning an airgun all the time, I find this device works just fine. I would recommend it to anyone who is works on spring guns in-frequently.On longer spring guns it does not have quite enough travel without removing the device from the Rails at the end.OVerall good product.

Not recommended
Really I bought this to rework a springer. To my suprise it really don't work. It does not center to push back the spring. Have to make a lot of modifications to make it works. Really not recommended for the price. Search for other better options.

Does not fit a pict rail.
Well made tool, perfect for 3/8 or 11mm dovetail howeverr, out of the package, it does not fit the pict rail on the Synergis. Longer screws are needed.

It works well.
Works as advertised. You may have to make adapters for your particular gun, but hey, you can't have it all. Very sturdy, probably indestructible.

Good idea, very poor engineering
They really should have an engineer design these things, as it's obvious this is a very dangerous tool.Let's see where to start.1) AV should have known when they design a spring compressor for only the weakest airguns, that many folks will try to use it on very powerful guns and get into trouble. That's called engineering choices.2) The clamping surface should be at least twice as long as it is. This is too short and allows canting of the whole tool while compressing a spring. Better yet, make the top beam out of 1" round stock and it would fit into rings to clamp on the dovetail, as many rings as needed and spaced as far apart as the dovetail will allow, to make the hold super secure.3) There is no need for the quick release thread for the pusher rod. If you don't have time to run the rod in and out, then you don't have time to rebuild a springer in the first place. This quick release makes for sloppier fit of threads to only a few threads and you get more cant. This combined with the minimal clamping surface, makes it dangerous.4) The height of the unit when clamped should be adjustable and lockable. Put the money in that rather than the quick release. Make it better not gimicky.5) The pushing tip should be a rotating plastic tip, but this can be overcome by making a pushing block out of plastic to slip over this plastic non rotating tip, and that way no riding off to the side.6) There should be spacers in the clamp to keep the top edge from tilting in when you tighten the clamp and twisting the whole tool. Look to scope ring manufacturers for some guidance here. This whole tool was really a piece of junk designed by someone who knows nothing about engineeing, or airgun maintenance, so this is what you get, a dangerous piece of crap.As to the price, it's too high, BUT had it worked like it could have if properly designed, the I would gladly have paid it and never blinked an eye.NOT RECOMMENDED!
