That it works, and at a price you can afford.
Why struggle with a tin of something like, to catch the water from a radiator valve when you can get the real thing from Amazon, made for the job ,easy to use ,no mess no water from the radiator on the floor, even cut outs for the radiator pipes so you capture ALL the water.great buy.

Best piece of kit for draining radiators I've ever had!
A great, easy to use piece of kit! I've tried a few different little gadgets over the years but this is the best one by far!Two suggestions - first the bowl only holds about 1.4 litres so have a small cup or similar and a larger vessel to bail it into. I found this much less fiddly than trying to empty the bowl and refit. You'll probably be surprised just how much water even a small slimline radiator contains!Secondly, before you start pop down to your local hardware shop, Screwfix, whatever and buy a couple of 'blank nuts' to cap off the radiator valves once you have removed the radiator. On a couple of occasions I've found one of the valves doesn't completely close (no matter how hard you turn the valve) so putting one of these on contains any pesky drips or trickles. They are cheap and available in a number of sizes to fit your own radiator valves. I've found that even if the valves close off perfectly, it's good peace of mind to have them physically capped as well.

Very helpful
I was sceptical but this has been very helpful for draining down radiators. The shape works very well for getting right in under the radiator nuts. It's also shallow enough for low hanging radiators. You may need a little tape to help get a 100% seal between the radiator pipe and the pipe insert in the basin, but then it really does the job. It's not the total solution but works well as part of a system. For instance I sometimes use it with half a plastic bottle as a funnel if I am working on the horizontal radiator nut. Or, because it's capacity is limited, I tend to use a simple drill pump to move the basin contents to a bigger bucket as required.

Repairs ease of use and does the job
Does the job brilliant i would have bought 2 as had a leak on both valves not bad but definetly worth getting and clips round the pipework well so has too seeing how much water it holds but you can bale it outeasily cleaned

Quality item
Used this today to drain & remove radiator to decorate wall, kept an old ice cream container & bowl nearby “just in case” but didn’t need them because there was no water spillage at all, am very pleased with this item, well done.

Great idea but..
OK so all my radiators need taking off and flushing so I got this to try and make draining a little easierHowever when there's water in them there very flimsy which makes trying to lift them to empty challenging. I ended up just using a washing up bowl
