Another well designed product from Kreg
The jig is very useful and speeds up the process of drilling shelf pin holes. Be warned there are both 5mm and 1/4" versions - for the UK, you probably want the 5mm version (this was the 1/4"). The 5mm version has a stepped drill bit, if you get the wrong onr you can purchase the other drill bit separately.Using the jig is quite straightforward. I found that I needed to go back over the holes a second time with the drill bit (in18mm ply) to clean up the holes. The pins were very tight as there was some tear out from the initial cut.The accuracy of the jig and holes was good enough for my shelving units. If you were making kitchen cabinets, you'd need to spend more time taking a reference to ensure all holes were aligned. While you can store the drill bits and guides within jig, the connector piece, screws, and allen key cannot be stored. This might be an annoyance for some as those parts could be easy to lose.Overall another good product from Kreg.

Excellent- but you probably want the other version!
I love this jig, it really is very simple but it does the job it's supposed to perfectly. The build quality is fine and it's easy to store, with one small caveat involving the alan/hex key - there's built in retainers for the drill bit and pin but not for the hex key (no problem really as long as you know where you keep your set).IMPORTANT: The 5mm version is here everything is identical but you won't need to buy a new drill bit when you realise you've got the 1/4" version! 90% of people looking at this will want the 5mm version, that said there's really very little else to complain about, it's a great product and I don't regret buying it for a second.

There's two types of this jig, 1/4 inch and 5mm
So two types of this jig one is the 1/4 inch (6.35mm) item#KMA3200, and the 5mm one Item#KMA3200-INT. Both jigs are the same (the drill bit guides are both 1/4 inch) the difference in the drill bit supplied. the 1/4 inch has a 1/4 bit (obviously) the 5mm has a special stepped drill bit which is a 1/4 inch but 5mm at the end that does teh drilling, so you could be locked into buying their special bit if you ever lose or damage yours. Apart from that holes are spaced on 32mm centered. Teh fence can be set up to give either 24.3mm (1 inch) or 53.4mm 2-1/8 inch) spacing from the edge (it can also be used without the fence too)

Beware!
I ordered two of these to join together when I was making two bookcases.I drilled the holes in the first bookcase and later on in the second. When I came to fit the shelf supports the holes in the two bookcases were not the same size. The drill bit supplied with the first jig was 5mm the one supplied with the second was 1/4"!If you buy more than one check the drill bit sizes.Otherwise an excellent product. Easy to use, accurate and fast.

Decent but not Kreg's best
I've been a little harsh just because Kreig are usually so good. But a few things to note. The metal pin to reference the prior hole is a bit fiddly in the sense it either sticks out loads or not enough (depending which side you put it in on).The depth stop is one of those annoying ones that easily slips if you are not careful. And it's 1/4 inch so all us UK people be aware it's not the normal 5mm we are more used to a lot of the time.
