maxxipawsmaxxicalm Natural Calming Supplement for Dogs - 120 Non-Drowsy Tablets

These worked for my dog
Ive not tried any other calming tablets for dogs, but have tried sprays and rescue remedy and while they didn't to seem to have any effect at all, these tablets have definitely helped. I have a Labrador that is fearful of loud noises and a few different situations, such as the vets. These tablets seem to take the edge off her nervousness while not making her drowsy at all. She just seems a bit more happy and less on edge. I gave her a couple this morning as we were going to the vets today and she was so much better. She was still wary, but accepted treats from the vet and even wagged her tail a bit, where as she is usually so stressed she is barely coping. If we are going somewhere I know will be challenging for her, I give her a couple a day for about two days prior and they definitely help. Im just ordering my second tub now and would recommend giving them a go to anyone with a reactive dog to help with certain situations. good luck.

All you cynical people, read this review :)
I can't say enough good things about this product and company. I have two goldendoodles (2 years), two cocker spaniel x (4 years) and two newfoundlands (11 months). One of my goldendoodles (Lille) had a really difficult start. She had haemorrhagic gastroenteritis, a double intussusception and then was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and had a hip replacement at 10 months old. Her and her brother have always been highly strung. They bark constantly, any noise, anyone walking passed the house, at each other over toys, ANYTHING (although never for no reason). We tried rewarding good behaviour, citronella collars, getting cross with them, shutting them out when they bark, shock collar (on the vibrate setting, never shocked them), we even took them to Shaun Ellis, the wolf man. We had noise complaints from the council and neighbours, sleepless nights, tears, tantrums! We literally thought there was no hope. It was heart breaking to see Lille so anxious all the time, always on guard, she could never relax. I was looking for answers before taking her to the vet because I didn't want her to be knocked off the whole time and not able to enjoy life. Maxxicalm was my last attempt.I can't believe the difference it has made. I was very cynical. I wasn't even very good at giving it to her because I didn't think it would work. However, I went on holiday for 5 days without her so was really good at giving it to her for a few weeks before hand. She is a different dog. She is so much more jovial. She has always been pack leader, but her position in the pack is changing. It is like the responsibility has been taken away from her and she is so much more chilled about life, a weight has been lifted. She is playful with my other dogs, she relaxes. I can't say the barking has stopped but to be honest I wouldn't want it to because she has a voice and she likes protecting my house. But she barks a lot less and is also better at stopping faster when asked to stop. She will sleep in her bed and stay asleep rather than jumping at everyone noise.A key thing as well which will change Lille's life is that she is a lot less dependent on me. I really nursed her when she was little and I didn't work for 18 months (her whole life). I then went back to work and she found it very stressful. She has battered stair gates and barged her way out the door to come in the car with me. This hasn't completely stopped but it is considerably better which is sad for me because everyone loves to be needed but it's fantastic for Lille that she is happy to stay with other people and safe in the knowledge that I AM coming home in 8 hours time. All my other dogs are happier because she is less of a stressy b*tch. I'm so glad the pack leader role is shifting to one of my Newfoundlands as she is much fairer and more suitable and will do a better job to be quite honest.I am well aware that not all dogs will respond to this, just like they don't all respond in the same way to prescribed medication. But £26 is really not a lot of money for a happy and relaxed dog and a happy and relaxed owner. You don't have anything to lose if it doesn't work. And one of the best things is that it doesn't knock her out or sedate her, that would be too sad. It would be lovely to think she wouldn't have to be on it for life but if she does then I will be happy to continue if it makes her happy. Our other goldendoodle is now going to go on them in the hope that it will have the same effect on him, the highly strung mummy's boy! There is just a couple of side notes as well not related to the success we have had....! First of all, being the crap dog mum that I am, when these got delivered, I didn't moved them quick enough. The other goldendoodle had seen his sister enjoying them and thought he would have a go. He ate 103 of the tablets and had to go to the vet and be made sick. He was very poorly then, with all his electrolytes out of whack. It was very distressing and costly (thank god for insurance). So just be aware they really like the taste of these a little bit too much; be a better dog mum than me!And lastly I have to mention the customer service.... it's really fantastic. If you have any questions or comments then the company really are delighted to hear from you. I have had queries answered in a very generous, timely and gracious manner and it is lovely because amazing customer service is such a rarity these days. I am going to stop now because I am starting to sound like I work for the company, but I do hope this review will be read because even if it benefits just one more dog and their owner then that would be amazing. Thank you Maxxicalm from Sarah and Lille x

Patience and Perseverance, worth trying.
My dog has been on these for several weeks now, Quick background of my dog: He and his siblings were born to be bait for fighting dogs. After rescue he became extremely frightened of everything and everyone, even after rescuing him he hid in a corner for nearly 10 days before eventually coming to me, he has been through rigorous training and help for his fear. On top of that he has developed extreme separation anxiety, destroying doors, walls and furniture if left alone for too long. Has a major fear of all dogs and people as well as closed rooms. (my life consists of dog sitters), Even after 4 years the dog sitter still could not pat him. I was looking for something to calm him when outside or if I had to run out to corner store. Over the 4 years since I have had him he has taken to a enjoying company of one dog in particular and he copies everything she does, she is the friendliest dog in the world and wants to say hi to everyone, my dog runs away if people/dogs approach him. It was so heartbreaking to watch, he is a very intelligent dog, learned his commands very fast and is fully focused too.Since being on MaxxiCalm he has progressed slowly, he has taken to approaching dogs and sniffing them and letting them sniff him, I can go to the shops and return to no damage, just an over hyper, excited dog pleased to see me. He even runs to the dog sitter now. He still wont let anyone pat him, he ducks his head and cowers away. It's very sad to see but the progression in him is amazing, compared to what he was like before. He has even taken to sitting in a separate room from me, time to time. Something he would never have done earlier and chills on sofa when I clean, do dishes, shower. He was usually no more than 2 inches away from me. It has taken a few weeks but myself and visitors to the house can see the change in him, he is not as stressed and more relaxed when visitors come in.I chose these because there was no chemicals, and gradually went from half a tablet a day to 2 per meal (breakfast and dinner). He seems to love his food more too. I crush them to put in his food, he will not take tablets in any form. He has no problem taking them that way and they do smell of a liver scent. He did lick them first time but would spit it out. Maybe just the shape.Another note: The owners of this company are genuinely interested in the outcome of my dog, emailing to enquire after him. Very friendly and helpful people. The online booklet that came with the MaxxiCalm is superb and full of great information/tips.My wee dog is safe, warm, fed and most of loved, just trying to make him feel all that and MaxxiCalm looks like it could be on the way to helping.

He wont eat them.
My dog won't eat them no matter how I try to hide them. Not even with the cheese that normally works for all. I have to put them down his throat which isn't ideal ,because of this I am not giving them as I should. I can't say if they would work or not. For me they are an expensive mistake.
