Works GREAT to soothe and clear scalp scabs from dermatillomania
BUY THIS - IT WORKS! I have had stubborn crusty scabs and sores in various stages of healing on my scalp for about 10 years due to dermatillomania (skin-picking) and possible folliculitis. It has been very hard for these scabs to heal because I am constantly picking at them, and hard to find products that would help soothe itching and flakiness, especially in the winter, without causing buildup that I would then itch at some more. While this has not solved the issue completely, it has made a huge difference. My scabs are not as raised and they seem as if they are healing faster. I'm actually hopeful that they might heal and go away forever if I can stop picking! My scalp felt so clean and smooth after using this for the first time along with a dandruff shampoo and scalp brush in the shower. I've been using this for less than a month, and it has already worked incredibly well to soothe the itchy, tight feeling on my scalp. I do think it has been decreasing my picking and helping my scabs to finally heal! To apply, I brush and part my hair to expose my scabs, squeeze a small amount on my fingertip, and use my fingertip to apply in the spots that need it. The applicator works fine, using a finger is just my personal preference. It has an interesting consistency -- it's thinner and more liquid than Bath and Body Works lotion, but not as sticky as Cetaphil face wash. I apply pretty liberally to the point where it does make my hair visibly crusty or wet. If I had to go somewhere right after applying I would probably brush my hair out or style it after application, or apply less, but usually I apply before bed. I have NOT noticed that it makes my scalp greasy, oily, or itchy at all, which is huge! It does have a relatively strong smell that lingers for a few minutes after application. To me it smells medicinal and like coconut, which makes sense based on the ingredients. I have a pretty weak sense of smell, so overall it does not bother me, but I can see why it is bothering other people. It is very gentle and does NOT sting, even on more open scabs.

Relief!!!
I have had severe scalp psoriasis all my adult life (I'm 68) and I have tried pretty much everything (except for the expensive and potentially dangerous Bios) ...various steroids, shampoos (tar and salicylic acid), red light therapy and many natural treatments that promised what CalmScalp does. But nothing has provided the results that CalmScalp has, and I'm only on my second day! I apply it 2x daily as recommended, straights from the bottle, all over my scalp, nape of my neck and even around and inside of my ears. Not greasy and not smelly to me, like others have reported. Only relief like nothing before!! This is a Godsend! I was going to wait a couple of weeks to review, but I'm so gobsmacked over this I couldn't help myself. I will update if it stops working or has any longterm side effects.

Only long term will tell
So it seems to work but only for a short time and which it recommends 2x a day to apply and burns just a little nothing major but I have to do it three times in a day and it does have a smell but not very overwhelming so kinda want people to not get to in my space until it fades

It actually helps
This actually worked for me. The itch was relieved same day. I've been to a dermatologist for over 3 years and a biopsy. He still doesn't know for sure what is the exact diagnosis is. Three years of styroid medications that don't work. The relief was finally welcome !!!

Seems to work well, but the fragrance is pretty strong!
I’m on the fence about this product. Although it seems to work and stop the itch and the redness… The scent is pretty overpowering. It’s not obnoxious or disgusting, it’s just strong. It smells like vinegar and coconut when you put it on and then after it dries, it has a powdery coconuty scent, in my opinion. But it’s very strong and to the point of it being annoying. It’s hard to apply it every day and smell like this every day and it doesn’t wear off either. It’s a shame that it’s got such a strong fragrance because I think if they made it fragrance free or cut down on the severity of the scent, it would be a good product.
