Whirly Board Wide Standing Desk Balance Board & Half-Ball Balance Trainer

I am so pleased I purchased this board. It took a little bit to get to get used to it, and I had to put some supports underneath until I got the hang of things, but now I use it every day without any worries. Love it!

I appreciate its hand-crafted nature, embodying the passion of the startup company that created this Whirly Board.This board offers an unexpected level of utility for practicing skateboarding beyond the immediately obvious options. While it might not be as effective for manuals as a real skateboard, it provides excellent dynamic balance practice for body varials without the board ends touching the ground. My partner, who's an avid skateboarder, now uses it daily while watching skateboarding videos.I found that it makes the task of standing and working on spreadsheets genuinely fun. It seems to help manage my ADHD symptoms as well. When my wrists are resting on the edge, it's super easy to keep my balance, spin from side to side, or bounce around if I'm listening to music.It's a refreshing change from the usual, mundane balance boards. It has won over my 13-year-olds, and I even spotted the cat giving it a go.However, while the construction quality appears to be good, the difficulty level is quite high. It's challenging to maintain steady balance without holding onto a chair or resting on the side support balls.

I got this a few days ago to use at my standing desk and to use for some of my home workouts. I weigh 180 pounds and this thing feels very sturdy when I’m on it. I got the cork top, which is great for me as I’m typically just wearing socks or slippers while I’m working.It’s a great challenge to keep it balanced. I got it in hopes of improving some hip pain that I have. I think some or most of my pain is due to me tending to put a lot of my weight on one leg. It’s too soon to know if this will help that pain, but I do feel that I’m putting a more even load on my legs when using the board which is also encouraging better posture.I’m looking forward to improving my balance and agility with this.

I recently built a floating desk at standing height and after 10 years working on a computer from home, my 28-year-old body feels like I'm 48. Yikes! I wanted something that would help me keep my core/hip flexors/legs engaged while i work and this is perfect. Balancing is a bit easier because i have my hands on the keyboard to help - but i absolutely need to keep other areas engaged. Plus, it's fun! It's a good way to divide your attention (this is a good thing, look it up!) which actually helps with focus. An hour will go by and i hardly notice. One of the best buys for my home office.

I use this to loosen tight hip and back muscles.
