Alongside homeschooling. My 9 year old dislikes literacy and will do anything to try and avoid it, but he loves this book and said its fun! Bitesize tasks with really good explanations/recaps. An excellent resource. Will be buying more from this series.

The media could not be loaded. This is a really nice vocabulary-boosting workbook for children aged 9-10. I’m going to be teaching a Year 5 class from September and this will come in very handy. It has been written in line with the National Curriculum and covers the key skills that children need, encompassing comprehension, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. The illustrations are brilliant and the eight characters pop up in the various exercises. There is also an accompanying Word Tag app, but that’s only free for the first three months’ trial period.I think this is a fantastic book and would also be great for parents whose children need a little motivation and support with their English. It’s a great fun way to broaden their understanding and vocabulary as well. It’s currently selling at a reduced Prime price of £7.49 (down from £9.99) which is fantastic value!

This is a really good book. Lots of stuff to do and is well laid out. It is as interesting for the child as such a book can be. I think it is excellent - perfect for either some revision or for home educated children who are following the national curriculum.Would recommend.

Really good workbook.My son scores quite high but despite a really good vocabulary spelling is a bit of a development area.This books covers loads from grammer to spelling and is well written and pitched for the age,I also like the app and its something we will work through this summer ahead of September

Well written and designed exercise book, clearly laid out with a range of useful topics on grammar and reading comprehension and writing. I use it for extra homework during holidays. Just 10 minutes per day and this is very helpful. Recommended.
