EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE

Amazing for any spider fan out there. Started getting into comics again and was not dissatisfied.

I loved the original Spider-Verse event from years back. I loved the variations of Peter, Uncle Ben, Gwen, Mary Jane, and Miles’ stories. But now everything can be Spider-Man, including a t-rex and a car. (Yes, I know Spider-Ham exists, but that was more puny in its origins and storytelling.) Truth be told, most of these characters seem to exist to push an easy new age social narrative, instead of telling a new engaging story. This is a cash grab to tie-in with the newest movie.

This is for children or manga fanatics. The artwork is trash and the individual characters/stories are boring. I guess now they think 🤔 slapping “Spiderverse” on the title to sell anything now

E uma história legal, bem divertida.

For the stories/threads of the main story, I would have given this book 4 stars for the looser or just plain weird stories I would have given them 3 stars, so I would have liked to give it 3.5 stars it just just edged a round-up for me.The Spider-verse is in danger again. Guardians will be chosen some will rise and some will fall. See the origin of the Spider-verse and the original sin that has come back to the Spiders.The main story starring Arana, Night-Spider, Hunter Spider, Spider UK (on a personal note great to see a Muslim hero done right), and Spider-Gwen were good to very good. The filler-style stories were okay to just plain weird. The book finishes with a variant cover gallery including sketch covers.

Ik ben perongeluk met dit boek begonnen, omdat ik dacht dat dit de eerste in de series was. Dat is echter The Amazing Spider-Man: Edge of the Spiderverse. Als je dus niet net als ik belangrijke achtergrondinformatie wilt missen zou ik aanraden om daar te starten. Echter ook zonder de informatie is het nog redelijk bij te benen en worden er een hoop nieuwe spider varianten geïntroduceerd. De een zoals Spinstress en Sun-Spider sloegen persoonlijk wat meer aan dan de ander zoals Peter ParkedCar uit Vanhattan. Maar overall een hoop heerlijke multiverse chaos.
