This thing is rigid and shipped without any imperfections. They also include the necessary hardware to mount it, making installation a breeze.

This rack shelf worked well to mount our home audio system up out of the way. I've used StarTech several times in the past and their products are always sturdy and well built. This 1U shelf is no exception. A bit pricey but significantly less than the big-name brands like APC.

Very happy with the shelf - its heavy duty and fit perfectly into the rack. I'm using it for a non-rack mount interface, and it easily allows me to run cables to the back or front.

Could have purchased something cheaper, but it would probably not meet my expectations from the reviews I read. This met my expectations and functions perfectly. Easy to install, all installation parts are included, and the quality control is good.

First off, Solid product. Great build quality, no sharp edges, but I couldn't use it for what I purchased it for.There is a lip at the front/bottom of the shelf, I believe this gives it rigidity. The problem is, this lip takes away some of the "1U" height.You can see this in the product pictures: The bottom screw hole for the ears are lower than the shelf itself. I intended to place two Dell Micro Computers (slightly smaller than 1U) on this shelf, but unfortunately that lip reduces the usable shelf height and they didn't have enough clearance to fit on the shelf, so I had to go with a different shelf and re-purpose this for another day.Looks great though!

Equipment like this has a ton of competition it’s a metal sheet folded.I appreciated the fact that all of the mounting hardware was in the box.

Perfect small wall mount rack shelf. This shelf is very sturdy!! Doesn't flex at all. Seems I always need a shelf to set something on... power bricks, POE injectors, keyboard, etc.Didn't have much in the way of instructions... but not really needed. If you can't figure it out, you probably are in over your head.

It does what it is suppose to do, and it does it so well!
