Alot of Watch for the money
The hardest decision to make about this watch is do you want an all black watch with one leather band, brushed stainless with canvas band and nylon band, or brushed stainless with a stainless steel bracelet. Since I lacked a black metal watch that was why I chose this particular version. The band is soft leather and somewhat comfortable, however I may switch it out with a NATO strap in the future. It looks good, however it may have been nice to have the metal buckle and loops to be a bit thicker, however it is a perfect match for the watch so I won't be too critical. The watch itself is very nice, the dials are all very readable, and adds to the overall impression of purposefulness. The machining and finish are on par with watches costing many times more. The dial has the same precise look as well, and the raised crystal with frosted edges adds to the effect. The stem clicks into position with just enough friction to give it a feel of precision, and it just gets better. The pushers, obviously were designed for use with gloves, and both click with almost the same force. Worth mentioning, the pushers click even better than Tag Heuer chronographs, sorry Tag. The second hand almost sweeps, and gives the illusion of a mechanical or automatic chronometer. Great job Bulova!Another feature I like is the luminous dial. It glows blue. It is on par with Rolex chromalight lume, perhaps not quite as bright. I am not sure if it will glow as long as chromalight, but it is easily read in the dark.Bulova claims 10 second per year accuracy with its 262 Hertz quartz movement. I cannot attest to this yet, but the hands line up with the markings perfectly. I have absolutely no reason to doubt Bulova's claim. By the way, Rolex claims 2 second per day accuracy. Rolex however is a certified chronometer, meaning they have gone through exhaustive testing by a third party (Omega too). The box the watch came in was a nice touch, the presentation box is well made and comparable to the bakelite boxes that Brietlings come in.How does it compare with the Omega Speedmaster Professional (Omega Moonwatch)? I don't really know. I have an Omega, however it is a Seamaster, not a Speedmaster.I read reviews before I bought, and read some negative reviews. One complaint was of rattling pushers, I found this to be not true, at least with mine. Also a couple of complaints of the chronograph hands not lining up, my advice, read the instructions before starting the watch and setting it, yes it is a simple device, but it is also a complex electro mechanical device, so take five minutes to open the book.Make no mistake, you are not getting an Omega, Rolex Tag or Brietling, however you.are getting a very good wristwatch worthy of a high end collection. In short, I really like this watch. Even though it is not an Omega Moon watch I like this one because it feels like a watch costing much, much more, and has a bit of a maverick mystique about it tying in with the history of the Apollo missions.Worth mentioning, I have had this wristwatch for 10 weeks now, and it has not lost nor gained one second when compared the NIST time website.

If Darth Vadar wore a watch....Or Always bet on Black!
If Darth Vadar wore a watch, he would wear this one. Black ion plated watch seems to have good plating on the watch but one of the keeps on the strap began to show wear after the first day of wearing (watch contacting my desk when typing) I was disappointed in the strap. Looks good, feels good but the ion plating on the keepers is suspect. As for the watch itself, very attractive and very legible. The lume could be better but will do as good as most regular watches. Remember, this is a pilot watch, not a diver which tends to have strong lume. I put an aftermarket pvd - black carbon fiber strap from badass watch straps or something. I would have rated this a total 5 star if not for the strap hardware. Truthfully, most people are going to take it on the stock strap anyway. One note about the size. It is a large watch but the black color makes it appear smaller. All in all, it does not feel big or wear big.Edit: on 10/29 I came back to raise it from 4 to 5 stars. Despite a subpar strap, the watch and it's PVD case is excellent. A top watch in my rotation.Edit 9/15/22 - A very accurate watch. Mine is running -2 second every six months.

Bulova Lunar Pilot
I bought this Bulova Luna Pilot for my husband as a surprise. He was very surprised. He had admired this beautiful watch for a couple of months. It is substantial, thick, and a striking piece that should last a lifetime. The black on this watch is sharp. It's a must to add to your collection.

Excellent watch and seller!
This is one of the greatest values in a pilot chrono anywhere! Its a truly magnificent piece.I returned the 1st one of these I ordered as the central seconds hand did not return to 12:00. When this one arrived as a replacement, it did the same thing. I later found out that the position of the central seconds hand is adjustable! If you receive one of these watches and the seconds hand isn't aligned, the watch isn't broken! Simply pull the crown out and push the top pusher. The hand will move in 1/2 second increments. If you hold the pusher down, the hand will move for as long as you hold it down. Doing this allows you to set the hand in perfect position. As for those that say this watch is too big, I have to disagree. It fits my 7.5" wrist perfectly. If you want a "Moon watch" but don't feel like spending thousands of $$, buy this watch!
