So to control the volume for these speakers you have to reach to the back of them every time ?

The BX5 D3 speakers are usually connected to a mixer or audio interface where, although there are volume controls on the back, they can be set to a volume that never really gets moved, and the volumes usually adjusted by the mixer or audio interface they're plugged into.
