Although this model and size has received mostly 5 stars, it's disappointedly heavy (I'm almost 70) at about 1.6 lbs. So, now, I recommend binoculars around 1.4 lbs./ 22.4 oz. or less. For the heavy ones (astronomy) get a tripod and maybe a harness for ones like this Pentax. When shopping, read the 1-3 star reviews as well and notice the totals. I never understand how 2 people can give opposite reviews on the very same item. Amazing and puzzling. Many models are outdated to me. But some remain solid performers for years. I avoid most Chinese brands - too many goofy names, not their workers who assemble U.S. brands. We all have different preferences. Search thoroughly and patiently, keeping weight, material, performance, cost and reviews (me, 4.6 or better) from many sites when narrowing your choices.

J'en avais acheté un bas de gamme, ça change la vie! On se demande ce que les jumelles à 1 000 € font de plus, la curiosité y est, les finances n'y seront probablement jamais :-D. Elles sont un peu lourdes pour mes poignets fins donc je ne bloque pas 5 minutes d'affilé, ce sera lourd pour des mains de petit bout par conséquent, évidemment. Mais bref, je suis contente de mon achat.

Massive magnification yet still produce a bright and crisp image. Awesome for anything sedentary or slow moving in distance. Just don't try watching fast moving birds!

I was worried some bad piece will show up going by so many reviews on other binoculars in the same range. But I am happy we received a good one. Besides the great quality of images for a beginner, the grip is good and appears to have made of high quality materials.

seem really sturdy and well made, slightly heavier than my old bins, but I like that.Pity they arrived in the box straight from the shelf! No packaging or protection at all, really poor considering these are delicate optical instruments. Only too glad I didn't actually have to pay postage/packaging. Come on do better!!!!
