This is a frequent purchase in our household. I am particularly fond of the 'basil' and 'lemon verbena' scents, although the basil smells nothing like basil lol They are subtle, earthy, and not overpowering or long lasting- to me, but I have heard people who are sensitive to fragrances do not like this brand.The soap works as necessary while keeping hands feeling soft and moisturized. The refill lasts quite awhile at a cheap and affordable price point. I can refill my dispenser 3-4x with one bottle in a 2 person household. We probably buy 3-4 of these a years, which feels good on the wallet and I feel like we reduce our plastic waste in that way.It feels important to note that this brand has been a accused of greenwashing. If you are particularly in the search for a brand that is green, organic, non toxic, etc. I strongly recommend looking more into product ingredients, etc. because Mrs. Meyers just isn't the brand for you. Their fragrances and ingredients are synthetic, their parent company is SC Johnson, and have many ingredients rated low by the Environmental Working Group, which reflect "potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any."On the positive side, according to their website:-There are no PFAS (forever chemicals)-Their palm oil is responsibly sourced and RSPO-certified-"Products that go down the drain meet the widely accepted European OECD standards for biodegradability"-They offer "financial support and educational resources, we’re helping people across the country turn vacant lots into gardens for community growth",-Many of our fragrances leverage a component of upcycled ingredients (like cedarwood oil)-They have always been cruelty free.All in all, while this product isn’t entirely green, it’s still a meaningful step toward more sustainable living. Choosing eco-friendlier options like this, and learning along the way, helps build better habits and supports progress toward a lower-impact lifestyle, even if you're buying on Amazon!
