Big Improvement Over My Previous Light
I previously purchased a BLITZU Gator 390 light for my bike and it was OK but not as bright as I wanted. When the mount for the BLITZU light broke, after a few months, I was unable to get any response from the manufacturer so I gave up and bought this light to replace it.This light is head and shoulders above the BLITZU light. The new light is incredibly bright. I find myself using it on its lowest intensity setting and have more than enough light to deal with beach front bike paths here in southern California. I would hesitate to use the brighter settings because I think it might blind other cyclists who are coming toward me. I can see using the brighter settings in strobe mode during the day if I am riding in places with automobile traffic. The power pack is very much like a standard USB power pack like the ones used to charge smart phones. So I can carry a spare battery on the outside chance that the standard battery dies. My previous light had a built in battery and if it died I would have been out of luck. The mount seems more substantial than the one on the BLITZU light but it is plastic so I assume it will degrade from sun exposure sooner or later. Fortunately the light attaches to the mount with a standard camera tripod type thread so there are lots of alternative mounts available on Amazon and elsewhere. The light seems to be very well made of machined aluminum. The only issue I have with the design is that it is necessary to thread the light onto the screw that comes out of the mount so you have to spin the light 360 degrees several times to attach it. This can be a problem if you have other things mounted near the bike light mount on your handlebars as adjacent devices can prevent the light from rotating.I had to mount it farther off center than I wanted so it was clear of my cell phone mount.. I would like it better if the stud that the light mounts on could be rotated up into the light using a thumb screw. The tail light that came with it looks to be decently made and is bright enough. The tail light runs off two flat mercury cells. There are no instructions for the tail light so it took me a few minutes to figure out that there was a thin sheet of plastic between the two batteries in the light that had to be removed before the light would would work. The instructions for the headlight were minimal. There was no information about how to charge the battery and how many hours of light would be provided, for the various power levels, before the battery would fail. All the instructions you would need would probably fit on one side of a 3x5 index card and that would be a nice addition to the product. The light came with a headband mount so you can use this light as a head mounted light. Im not a big fan of those lights because I find myself frequently shining the light directly in the face of people I speak with and that, of course, ruins their night vision for a few minutes. It would be nice if there was some way to control the size of the beam for the headlight. Most of the time I would like it to be a little wider than it is. But I can live with the current design if making the beam width adjustable would impact the waterproof design of this light.

Could use some improvements but WORKS GREAT and is VERY BRIGHT!
I have to say that I love this little light. I do have some subjective Cons about it like I wish when you have it plugged into the battery pack that the light had a way to turn off the glowing green light that lights up around the power button on the light. (that's a lot of lights I know) Anyhow, if you plug the light into the battery it lights up a green glowing ring light around the power button to make it easier in dark areas to find the power button. I wish you could turn this light off when you want to leave the flashlight plugged in to the battery while the flashlight is not being used. I commute to work via bus and my bicycle during the graveyard shift and while waiting on the busses I need to take to get to work I have to keep the flashlight unplugged until I want to use it. I would like to be able to leave it plugged in and use it as needed with the option to turn on/off the power button LED ring around its button. Only real con I have with this product other then the subjective I mentioned above is sometimes while in the brightest mode I'll be riding along and the light will slightly dim itself. Its only very slight but enough to notice its not as bright as it should be (and yes this happens even with the battery pack completely charged). How I fix this is by turning it off and back on again and it works great again. I can say though, for only being 1200 lumens it is extremely bright. I tested it in my room at night with all the lights out to see how bright it was. First I turned on the little lamp I have in the room and the lamp only lit up a small area of the room, then this light and this light in a room were you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face lit the room up so bright it lit the whole room up as if I just turned on the overhead light on using three 60w LED bulbs (and those are very bright as well). The little red tail light is really bright as well which brings me to the only other subjective con I have. I really wish the tail light was rechargeable or ran off the battery pack as well so I don't have to keep buying batteries for it every few months or so. Well, so far I've been using it from the day I received it back in April till now July, and its still as bright as it was when I first turned it on so the battery/batteries (not sure if it has 1 or 2 in it or even what type it takes yet but assuming it takes 2032 pancake batteries) seem to be holding up very good. I use this 5-6 days a week for about 1.5hrs +/- total a night/day going to work and coming home from work. As for the battery pack for the main light, I use the light at its brightest setting during the same times of course going to and coming from work and only have to charge the pack maybe once a week. I'm not sure how long it will actually last for cause it hasn't died on me yet (knock on wood), and I charge it every 4-7 days when I think it needs it.I can also say that this light is well made with its all metal housing. I think the mounting piece (which is plastic) might end up breaking before the light will like my last bike light which was 150 Lumens and no where near as bright as this thing.
