This is a GREAT & STURDY cane tip!My mother, who is in her 80's and is recovering from an illness, has just started using a cane. We noticed that "normal" rubber tips were unstable as she's regaining her balance after her illness. So, I researched numerous canes and tips (feet). I actually purchased three different canes for her. LOL! But, none of the tips seemed stable enough. I checked out a number of "quad canes", (that have 4 metal legs and tips in a cross pattern), that claim to offer more stability; but then read a medical review issuing warnings that many patients trip over the metal legs. Then, I found this rubber tip on Amazon. It is FANTASTIC! It offers stability, but doesn't extend very far, so there is far LESS chance of my mother tripping over it. I will say that because it is solid rubber, it does add weight to the cane. But, because it is one solid piece of rubber, there are no plastic pieces to fall off, compared to similar products on the market.After all my research, we added the Carex Self Standing Cane Tip to the EZ-Get-Up-From-Seat Adjustable Cane By Royal Canes, from Amazon UPC #811319013878, which is a light cane with two handles, one for walking and one to help my mother get from a seated position to standing. What a great combination! I have added a picture of both the cane and the tip.

Just what I needed and it’s very sturdy but a little heavier than expected but should wear very well.

We have ordered this item several ties over the years as my husband has had knee and hip surgeries. Other products were not as safe or reliable for use with a cane.

It took a lot of effort to get this tip on the cane. Once on, it did not feel very stable. I honestly took it off and used the original tip with the cane. This tip did not feel secure or level. It was nice that it allowed the cane to stand up on it's own (without having to lean it against the wall...), but it just did not feel very stable during use. I went ahead and gave it 5 stars on durability as I believe it would probably last a long time if used, but I won't be using it for long enough to confirm this.
