Great pain relief

I have always used the brand name for this because my parents used to buy it and they were notoriously cheap and would never buy name brand. After over 10 years of Aleve and the price continues to rise, I got these. They work just as well as the brand with the added bonus of getting double the amount of pills for less money! Take it from me, get yourself a bottle and see!

I suffer from a condition know as Ankylosing Spondylitis. I don't know all the facts about this condition but I can tell you it smarts a bit. Actually it's quite painful at times. I understand it's a form of Arthritis gone haywire. There is no cure but there are ways to help control the pain some. My doctor recommended after finding I had the gene causing the condition some form of anti steroidal drugs ( NSAIDs ) such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen before considering the new powerful drugs that has its own list of problems. I decided on the Naproxen. The makeup of the medicine is the same found in the over the counter Alieve. If you have priced Alieve in the stores you know it's pretty expensive for a few tablets. Once again I came back to Amazon to see about a generic brand and came across these. The Naproxen works quite well indeed. In fact very very well. It took a couple of days but the pain in my neck shoulder area eased up very well. I still notice a bit of discomfort but it's about non existent. I also suffer fro Spinal Stenosis. This condition causes quite a bit of back pain. As I'm not a surgery candidate I ended up on Opioids they in turn cause a whole bunch of their own problems once I started taking the Naproxen I noticed that the lower back pain had decreased allowing me to decrease the Opioids by half. So instead of taking up to six powerful addictive pain pills I rely on two or three. My doctor has advised me that Naproxen is not without problems as well. He has watched my dosage carefully and checks periodically for internal bleeding symptoms. The label is also very specific about dosage levels as well and there is a maximum daily dosage in my situation I take two tablet in the morning along with one Opioid . I take a second Opioid if necessary and two Naproxen and one Opioid a few hours before bed. THIS DOSAGE HAS BEEN ADVISED BY MY DOCTOR. Check with your doctor before starting any medication regiment.
