I was impressed by the durability of the hat itself. Not quite felt, not quite flannel, so it reads well under stage and party lighting as nearly nothing - light the light is sucked away much like Baron Samedi can do! I did have to use a shoe insert to make it fit my husband's head without slipping down - not a big deal. The materials are lightweight enough that he was able to wear it nearly all night for a party without getting frustrated. lol

Awesome hat.. Bought it to wear to Mardi Gras in New Orleans.. Received tons of compliments on it.. People were fist bumping and high fiving me all week.. It's made from nice materials and is constructed well.. I was surprised by how good the quality is.. It runs a little big size wise.. I had to sew a leather sweatband into it so it would fit my head properly.. If you are gonna wear a wig it will probably fit perfectly with no modifications.. I highly recommend this hat and would purchase it again..

This hat was perfect for my costume. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the hat was really too large but I added some padding on the back of the hat and it worked well.

Eta Big thank you for the speedy delivery, will be wearing it in 5 days.The second I held it I was impressed. Sturdy chapeau felt construction with black velvet piping around the brim. The accents are quality too, sturdy and detailed, as if you will hear them claxking together and rattling in your spell pouch. Large fit and I have a larger head, but wearing a wig for halloween and will figure it out from there.

Super cool hat, low price!

The hat itself seems to run true to size and is decent quality.The problem I had was the packaging. The hat was shipped in one of the Amazon bags so the feathers came destroyed and some of the "bones" had come off and were loose and in the bag. I was able to glue those back in place.

Looks as great as pictured and I was happy with the size. Most costume hats run small, but i was able to wear this with a wig.
