It worked for me.
I am a older volunteer at an animal shelter. (You should try it. Find a No-Kill shelter in your area, or a shelter that is not yet No-Kill but wants to be, and volunteer there. It can be wonderful.) I walk dogs - mostly medium to large, young, energetic dogs who are really tired of being in a smallish kennel. Unfortunately, if you are older they can wear you down. (I mentioned the age thing earlier. I am not old, but survey forms generally find me checking the 0ver 65 years box on the age form. (Ok, perhaps I check the Over 70 box.)) Well, somehow what I assume is a groin muscle started acting up; Perhaps because of age, or perhaps because block headed, fun dog Bruce wanted to go right and I was going left. Anyway, every time I walked dogs the groin or whatever muscle’s snap, pop, or general message to the brain that said, “Ahhhhhh, what was that?” while my right leg seriously considered throwing me to the ground hurt more than just a little. I tried the “RICE” thing that Google implied would help. It did work but a few stiff drinks after sundown worked about as well. I asked my Family Practice MD, and even my ER Doc son. (Let’s just say that age and RICE were mentioned by both highly educated docs. Please do not misunderstand. I know I am old and I had some great years eating rice in regions like Japan and China, but all of the age comments plus all of the rice in China (and/or Japan) did not help the groin problem.) I decided that since most of my problems that could not be solved on Google likely had a solution on Amazon. A simple search found this Bodymate Compression Brace for various maladies. And, those maladies included the, by now very mistrusted, Groin muscle. Let me try to be less wordy and skip to the conclusion. This things works. I have walked dogs several times and helped my son install a 15 foot tall reindeer created from 6 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood while wearing the Bodymate with very minimal groin muscle complaints. The muscle is happy. I am happy. My consumption of various pain meds has significantly decreased. And, my consumption of alcohol in the evenings... Well, it has not increased. I have no idea how this product works on any of the other muscles listed, or much if an idea of where those muscles are, but I am going to just recommend the Bodymate for whatever muscle in the lower back or groin or upper leg region bothers you. It is inexpensive, much more comfortable than you would think, and it mitigates the pain. I like it.

A Must-Have for Ehlers-Danlos Patients!
I tore my labrum and dislocated my femoral head. I was about to have my second hip reconstruction and ordered this brace for its stability while I waited for surgery. This is the best brace for stability! I have Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and I would recommend this brace for anyone with this or a similar syndrome. Otherwise, it’s incredibly uncomfortable — rubs against your groin unless you strap it on excessively tight as not to ride up on you. It’s incredibly inconvenient — I’m a girl and whenever I needed to pee, I had to take the whole brace off in order to pee and then try and put it back on again without getting it too loose or too tight. The Velcro is extremely well-made which is great for washing it (the Velcro holds up), but sucks for wearing nice clothing because the velcro sticks to everything — I was having to travel for family stuff and needed to wear nice dresses, which was inconvenient. I would not recommend wearing this brace on the plane, but strongly recommend wearing this brace through the airport (really helps with all the movement in and around the airport!).I’m not the greatest fan of medical equipment, but this is a good item to purchase — I have no idea how they could make it more comfortable and still as supportive as it is, but if they could at least make it easier to go pee, that would be amazing!

Bodymate is a life saver after hip surgery!
I've owned the Bodymate compression wrap for two years and it's been a lifesaver. I was looking for something to support my hip when I thought I had a groin pull, that then progressed into severe internal pain. I've been an athlete my entire life and a martial artist for over 30 years. Hip injuries are common in karate especially as we age. The Bodymate held my right hip in place as I continued to train and teach karate 4-6 hours/week. As the pain worsened I learned I had premature hip joint failure and needed Total Hip Replacement. I relied on my Bodymate for support leading up to my surgery, and in my recovery. Now, 18 months after total hip replacement of the right hip, I'm still training and teaching karate and the Bodymate has been with me every minute I'm on the dojo floor. Its ability to securely wrap around both my hip and upper thigh allows me to move freely and without pain. Its flexibility is wonderful for circular rotational movements, it breathes and the compression it provides prevents further injury. Karate is a major part of my life and the Bodymate has been essential for me to continue training and my life as a martial artist. The photos in the advertisement show young healthy people wearing the compression wrap and promote its use to support muscle injuries. I want to provide a couple of photos of a not so young person who relies on my Bodymate to move without pain and protection against injury after total hip replacement surgery. Thank you Bodymate and for creating the perfect product to help me stay active in my martial arts and recovery from major reconstructive surgery!

It works although it’s not the most comfortable
It does reduce the pain but the smell of the belts material in the beginning was horrible (it went away after almost a week) . I might not get the right size but the thigh straps are just not right for me even though I tried to adjust it many times (either loose or too tight) when I walk and sit. These definitely something that you wear underneath your dress or at home, the straps on the thigh hugging you buttock in a funny way and for me, not something that i’d walk out with. Other than that, it does reduce my pain. So it works !
