Suffering from a very chesty cough and wanted something a bit easier to manage other than rubbing Vicks onto my chest. This humidifier takes two menthol pads (if you wish to use them) and even when only set half way it emits a lovely vapour into the room. I use especially in my bedroom 4 hours before I go to bed to fill the room and then leave on for a couple whilst asleep. Its very quiet, so not disturbing. I noticed some review said they didnt get the enclosed pads and I thought I hadnt at first, but then found them tucked inbetween the pages of the instruction booklet. Highly recommend.

Easy to use, and seems to do the job well. Not too loud, if anything think baby would like the sound as it’s almost a white noise. Cleaning process is a bit longwinded, weekly disinfecting & cleaning with bleach seems quite OTT. Water machine ran out once & it was beeping which also seems a bit ridiculous, given it’s a machine to be left on overnight.

Very good piece of kit for chestiness, keeps the airways clear, but unfortunately didn't come with any vapour pads like it says.

Has made a difference with my sleeping. Slept much better with this on. Quiet so no noise keeping me awake.

I had the previous version of this and these humidifiers have been a game changer with my kids and their cols and night time coughs.This updated version improves on the older one in almost every way. The new one is smaller and has a redesigned water tank which makes it easier to clean, less place for mould to gather and has a directable steam outlet at the top so you can angle which way it pumps out.This new unit is quiet and features two trays for the scent pads should you want to use two. Steam output is adjustable and it has a warning light/beep to remind you to clean it.Cleaning is by way of diluted bleach int he tank but I've used milton tablets to great success. Cleaning is vital or mould and minerals will start to appear and that becomes a health risk. Whilst this new unit is easier to clean it still needs cleaning every 2-3 days. When finished take time to steriliser and properly dry the tank before storing it away.This, and indeed the previous unit have bene game changers for us. Literally stopped our 3 year olds night cough and she and us were happier and rested as a result.

Arrived fine.. Used for poorly daughter first evening of arrival for a hour or so..... Then vapes stopped emitting... Noticed the bottom unit flooded.Cleaned a d tried again... Still not working. Waste of money... Shame, picked this as the trusted brand Vicks.. But its cheap and nasty. Retuning will be a royal barstard being at work all the time.. Do yourself, turn away now and get an alternative unit / brand.....

Now my little girl has started nursery she's a walking cold! Because she's only 11 months her coughing and snotty nose is so bad a bedtime I was struggling to make sure she was comfortable and I wasn't worrying.So did some research and found this I dont put the inserts in wirh my baby Because they are suited for babies but I just put the mist on and it still does the job my baby isn't as congested it's a suitable noise level so doesn't disturb her either.My husband has even used it and you can hear the difference on his chest during the night!Just be mindful this causes humidity so the next morning open the windows allow it to dry out and too much humidity causes damp!
