Off-label use, a most excellent honey keeper
A small jar of honey attracts bugs even when tightly closed, but keep the jar in this vacuum bottle, and not a molecule of the honey's smell escapes it! The honey can stay at the room temperature, nice and pliable, no need to reheat it from the fridge. No need to hide your butter or honey in the fridge from bugs if you use this vacuum bottle as the honey jar's keeper. This is a too quality sealed storage for finer types of honey, such as manuka or koora jarrah or koora marri (these are Australian), or a fine jar of European buckwheat honey...

Patience Rewarded - Great Product!
I initially had quite the hiccup with these ice cream coolers. My initial excitement turned into frustration when the lids on both of coolers I ordered proved utterly impossible to open. However, their customer service contacted me quickly and, after explaining their own frustration with technical issue with the lids, they promised help. While the wait was a bit longer than I expected, I'm pleased to share that the Ice Cream Canteen Co. did eventually come through, and a replacement shipment was sent my way.I'm relieved to report that these replacements function exactly as intended. They are both functional & beautiful - exactly as I had hoped. I can now walk downtown, buy my local anrtisanal ice cream, do a bit of shopping in the farmers’ market, and don’t have to rush straight home, or tote heavy blue ice packs.Despite the initial setback and the extended resolution time, the fact that this company made amends and fulfilled their commitment to customer satisfaction is noteworthy. Thank you, Ice Cream Canteen folks!

This works very well! Buy it!!
I love this thing. If you drop a solidly frozen pint in it, it’ll keep it nearly frozen in low 80 degree temps for like 45 min. (Out of the sun)Inside at normal house hold temps, I imagine it could do better, but I’ve never had it sit that long. But yeah, if you want to enjoy your pint with it melting as you eat, this is what you want.I do wish they’d bring back the white color though.

Works Pretty Well
I purchased this because I make a ton of ice cream at home and wanted a good way to transport it to friends/family.To test the product, I took a pint of raspberry feta ice cream (one of my harder-frozen flavors) and put it outside after also freezing the container. It sat for exactly 2 hours in the shade. Outside temp ranged from 70-71 degrees during that time. After 2 hours, the ice cream had softened but was still very edible with good texture. I suspect one of my softer-freezing flavors would be borderline too soft after the same experiment. The top mechanism can be tricky to get on correctly. I don’t knock the product because of this - it’s mostly due to the attempt at removing any air between the pint container and the carrier and it very well could just be the type of ice cream containers I use.My conclusion: After my experiment, an hour or two in the car with AC would work just fine but 2 hours in 80-90 degree weather probably would result in disappointment!

Great product
These work as advertised. Put in freezer for a while before use for best results.

Trains and ice cream
My husband drives a train and loves ice cream. I got him this so he can have ice cream at work and make everyone jealous. He says at 4 hours the top is just starting to melt so it really works!

I wanted to love this container, but the lid is challenging
I really wanted to love this container, it's a great idea, I love the shape and it's all metal design is what I look for. BUT, the lid is so wide it can be a bit tough to tighten or open. In addition, with the lid tightened down, I noticed I could lift the lid away from the canister about 1/4 inch on one side. This, of course, prevents a good seal which will allow air from the outside in, thus warming the ice cream a bit quicker.I returned the canister, did some more shopping around and ended up buying a similar container from S'well which worked out better but is not all metal.Sorry "Ice Cream Canteen" I tried, but this container doesn't quite work for me.

How well this keeps ice cream frozen.
This works great if you’re not sure when you’ll get home.
