Q: Where are these blades made?

Where the blade is made is of great importance. Most blades today are made in China and are of very poor quality. They do not last long, they break often, dull quickly, cannot be sharpened, and are usually made from thinner softer steel that bends much easier than blades that are made in Switzerland. Blades that are made there are of much higher quality and have all of the opposite qualities of the blades made in China. If you use many blades, you will quickly learn that it is well worth the extra money to buy Swiss blades rather than waste your money on hordes of Chinese blades. Your hands and arms will also thank you for the beating that it will save you.

Q: How long will a blade last?

Mine has lasted a long time now, they are a good blades.

Q: How well have this worked on baired roots?

These blades are excellent. I have used mine to cut limbs from trees and later to cut limbs into firewood chunks. Since they are designed for use with a reciprocating saw I doubt they would work with roots that are any closer than 6” from the ground, the blades need sufficient clearance to move back and forth plus an extra margin for error.
