Alfred Music The Lord of the Rings the Return of the King: Piano/Vocal/Chords

I have purchased the books for the first two movies as well. I was a bit disappointed at the lengths of the other books, but this one is much longer. Great addition to my LOTR piano book collection.

This book takes several of the main themes from the film The Return of the King and all the ones I was hoping for were included. I especially love playing the sequence that involves the crowning of Aragorn. I am an intermediate player and did not find these songs difficult. Most of them I was able to sight read tolerably. If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings, I really recommend this book.As a side note, I also own the sheet music for the first two films and I don't play out of those books as often as I do this one.

I bought this as I wanted to be able to play the music from The Lord of the Rings; Return of the King. I was not disapointed. Some of the pieces in here are quite hard but with practise I'm sure I will be able to play them! I would recomend starting with Into the West by Annie Lennox as i found that the easiest song to play, but at the end of Steward of Gondor is Edge of Night, which isn't very hard either! This is an amazing music book and I love using it to play music from my favourite film!

I played The White Tree for the gospel fanfare on the organ for palm sunday in a village church last year from this book. No one knew what I was playing but the film title just made perfect sense for me to do this.

Nach den wunderschönen Bearbeitungen zu den ersten beiden Teilen nun dieses vergleichsweise dicke Heft mit stellenweise recht langen Stücken. Das Niveau ist nochmal um einiges angestiegen, aber mit ein wenig Übung kann man die Stücke gut meistern (oder wenigstens so, dass sie sich gut anhören :-)...). Man merkt, dass die Musik im dritten Teil ganz anders ist als in den vorhergehenden, die Melodien sind weniger leicht, stellenweise ein wenig träge und nachdenklich, aber trotzdem wunderschön zu spielen.Ein paar kleine Kritikpunkte sinda) das Arrangement zu Into the West, bei dem das Klavier nur die Gitarrenbegleitung und die "Orchesternebengeräusche" spielen darf und nicht die Melodie sowieb) dass bei The End of All Things (S.25, Takte 1-4), eigentlich der musikalische Höhepunkt der Trilogie und auf CD sehr imposant eingespielt, das gespielte Produkt ein wenig dünn klingt (lässt sich wohl leider nicht ändern).Wer noch schwankt, dem sei gesagt, dass das Geld auf jeden Fall erstklassig investiert ist.Zuschlagen, im Buchhandel sind die Filmmusiknoten durch Import teilweise doppelt so teuer...
