Super customer service and quality tool
The tool is very informative about different data you need about your car status. The Bluetooth connection is fast and stable. The app is easy to navigate. The data seem reliable as consistent with measurements from other device. The only thing can be improved is to add quick start instruction in the packaging. But their customer service is super and very prompt to reply my questions. That is why I still give 5 stars.Overall a professional level tool with a reasonable price, and peace of mind knowing that you will be helped when you need it.

Great Tool with High End features and AMAZING customer support
I have been repairing my own vehicles for years with and without scan tools. Given the newer technology integrated into the latest models, it can be difficult to diagnose without a high end scan tool that costs anywhere from $800-$1000.00.Well, look no further. This tool does almost everything for under $200. To be clear, its not a programmer like alpha-OBD (that the one exception), but it definitely has the ability to perform bi-directional communication with a massive test suite. Yes, it will communicate with all electronic modules (Power Train, BCM, Airbag, Steering assist, etc.). I was able to communication with BCM, trigger individual bulbs in the instrument cluster, external lighting, windshield washer fluid. You can reset parking brake, battery registration.Recently I was able to trouble shoot a 2008 Ford Taurus. The alt/gen light illuminated on the dashboard. Within seconds of scanning the system, I was able to access the code, the software then provides a quick link to the internet for most common failures and parts to resolve. In my case, it was a connector that had developed some residue reducing conductivity. After cleaning, good to go.The interface is simple to read and understand. Looks very similar to high end tools I have researched. There is one exception, the user manual could provide a little more detail, but that's the only downside and my reason for 4 star review related to use. What the manual lacks, their technical support team makes up for. From the start, I was concerned about the compatibility of the A30D with my 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. They currently utilize what's referred to as the "FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automotive) SGW (Security Gateway)". What this means to us DIY's is that in order for us to communicate with the system, read and clear OBD2 codes, or perform Bi-Directional testing, we would either have to spend $50 a year for access to "Auto-Authority" to be granted access for these options, or purchase what's called the "Chrysler 12+8 by-pass cable". I chose the 2nd option.I had no idea what the Chrysler 12+8 cable was or does, until I spoke with "Echo" from XTools technical support team. Prior to purchasing the tool, I provided my VIN number as instructed on Amazons site, and received a reply and guidance the very next day. You would think their reason for urgency in response was to get the sale, and then the response time would then be delayed after purchase. Well, that is not the case so far, and why I believe this is a great product with a great company behind it. For several weeks, Echo and I have been in communication for simple questions about use and compatibility. Every question submitted so far receives an answer the very next day. Unbelievable! One suggestion I have, submit your VIN to them so they can validate it will communicate with your vehicle. They are very quick with their responses in my experience. Thanks for a great tool.

Huge bang for your buck here! Stop browsing and try this one out!
I've tried many an OBD-II scanner. From the first Bluetooth models that paired with Android Torque, to some of the newer dealer clones. I must say, this device shows great promise. The tech support is relatively responsive, depending on the time of day. There are a lot of language breaks in the software, but once you're used to those then you'll be working just fine. You WILL need quite a bit of space on your device if you want to download ALL of the manufacturer modules. Each car manufacturer has its' own download, along with some of the other functions having their own module. The software works pretty well, but definitely there's a lot of room for improvement. However, it's still a huge value. In testing my aunt's Lexus Hybrid, just connecting to the engine module and getting live data took about 60 seconds to pull all of the data. But there were seriously around 900 data points that were queried. This thing is seriously way beyond any scanner you've used before. It will connect to any number of independent systems in the car, provide live data for each, as well as scanning for fault codes not otherwise shown on generic scanners. The best part is that there are a ton of actuation tests that you can perform. But you must be careful with these, and make 100% sure you know what you're doing. You could definitely screw your vehicle up if you just go poking around and trying different actuation tests. Depending on which device you purchase (the devices themselves are identical) -- you'll get a license code that will enable certain of the special functions. If you plan to use on multiple cars, then get the most expensive one -- you'll get plenty of use out of it. Get yourself a good protective case for the unit also (it should come with one, seriously.). Save the tiny piece of paper that comes with it (or take a picture). Using an iPad is the optimal experience, but again you'll need a bunch of free space. I got free space errors even when I had 128GB free on my 256GB iPad so it can be finicky for some reason. If you have a technical mind then you will be in heaven with this device. With free lifetime updates, this is a major steal and you should jump on it now! I bought one for myself and one for my father. Don't wait... Just click and buy! You can always return it if you dislike it for some reason! (Plus it has a flashlight built into the adapter! Major WIN! LOL. The device is very well built and not flimsy feeling in the least bit). You can generate exports in PDF format of all of the data collected in live scans, but you cannot export raw data from a capture. This is the only big downside in my opinion. If you're trying to diagnose something and want to review live data, the best you'll get is reviewing it on-screen after recording. It even has space to enter your business details so they can be added into the PDF reports. Huge huge value, no kidding. I was not compensated or encouraged to leave this review. Good luck! --Josh

Great product great price
Initially had issue with activation code for the device. The service team was prompt in resolving this for me. The device works great on my Hyundai. Bluetooth connection was seamless, a complete scan took less than two minutes. The iOS interface is much easier that a tethered scanner. I should be able to reset the car brakes to replace the pads from the device. This product is easier to use and cheaper than any of the bidirectional scanners you will find at local auto shops.
