Carhartt Men's Big & Tall Weathered Canvas Shirt Jacket Snap Front

2023 - This Shirt Jacket is still going strong after seven (7) years. I wear it as a casual jacket on cool days, Fall through Spring. No signs of wear. Snaps all work. No rips or tears. Flannel lining is still in great shape. My only change would have been the color. I purchased the Moss Green, which is nice, but the Frontier Brown will go with more outfits. I added a brown ShirtJak from another brand to my wardrobe since. I still agree with what I wrote in 2016.2016 - This shirt jacket is great. The weathered canvas outer layer is soft, not stiff. The Moss color is like military fatigue. The flannel liner is initially loose and long by design, so that once it's washed the flannel will shrink and fit right. Size LT fits my 6'2" / 190lb frame. Body and sleeves are nice and long. Body is loose enough to wear a sweatshirt or the Carhartt sherpa lined vest underneath (Sherpa vest Moss color is a bit darker, which actually goes well). Upper breast pockets have a snap flap, but are too short to hold my Samsung phone. Inside pocket is deeper, but has no closure. Adding velcro to the inside pocket will then make it too short to hold my phone. The side pockets are there to duck your hands and can hold a phone. but without a closure. Result, there is no secure pocket to hold my phone if I am doing outside work in this jacket. But I still love it in every other way to give Carhartt 5 stars.

The Shirt Jacket is of Carhartt quality, with Mountain Khakis style. It has a rugged yet "weathered" texture that will give you the confidence to put it through any situation and not worry; while at the same time, not feeling as though you need to wear it a few more hundred times with multiple washes to get it to that nice broke-in stage. I am a big guy with "Monkey Arms" to boot and ordered this in 3XLT. I wear most Carhartt items in a 2XLT for tops but wanted this to be roomy enough to layer up with anything underneath, all the while not riding up my arms when working. Hindsight, My normal 2XLT would have been fine as the 3XLT is more than roomy enough (with extra un-needed room on the sleeve length). Did not return the item though, I am simply going to see what it is like to be like the rest of the (regular sized) world and wash the item in either hot or cold water and dry in the dryer instead of hang drying for fear of shrinkage.

Got 2XLT first by mistake (too large) so returned it in the original package (resealed & relabeled following the return instructions) dropping it without charge at local UPS to be mailed back successfully. I am going to look next to find how my refund comes through (rewards payment added back to my total or a check refund) . In any event I anticipate a successful refund. Happy to receive the reordered correct size 1XLT and glad my husband is very pleased with his birthday gift! He was surprised to find just what he wanted (snaps, black and comfortably large) through the mail. Thanks Carhart and Amazon.

This is a super nice shirt Jac it is very very well made. Super soft inside and a durable yet attractive outside my husband LOVES it he asked me to order him more. Warm yet not overly warm for a nice fall day, he wears his with just a t-shirt and thinks it is perfect. It seems to be pretty true to size my husband is fairly tall at 6'3 so I got him a Large Tall and it couldn't fit better. Thanks carhartt for making another great product you never disappoint

Great overshirt for outdoors, sleeves to the knuckle, perfect for riding or reaching work, won't ride up at the back, the usual carhartt 'half a size bigger than everyone else's size'. I'm 6'0" 195lb and Large is roomy enough to fit over a couple of t-shirts or a light sweater. There's no way I'd be able to tuck this in to my normal sized jeans. Exactly what I expected from previous carhartt orders, they're not cheap but they are very hardwearing.

I have these in a couple of different colors and they are my “go to” winter outerwear here in TX. I spray them lightly with some waterproofing In the fall and they are a tight enough canvas that I don’t need a rain shell. They wear great, don’t stain, feel comfortable, and look OK for all but the most formal suit-and-tie occasions. I put a Carhartt t shirt under them.

This item exceeded my already high expectations. My husband had a very similar item before and wore it so much that after many years, it finally wore out. They no longer make that exact item so this seemed like a close substitute. It was even better than the original because it had pockets for his hands! I can hardly get him to take this off. Excellent product and I highly recommend.

Husband is 6'3, 260 lbs. Truly is big and tall. I would've kept and washed but it was a little long for his tastes, especially in the arms. Returned for regular 2xl. Overall still a nice jacket.
