Extra iPad protection
The Switch Easy cover body is a good way of protecting the iPad in any of the traveling cases. This is the second one I have bought for an iPad and I appreciate the quality and ruggedness of the device. I also like the ability to store my Apple Pencil close to my iPad and not feel that I am going to lose it. Great product

Perfection!
I don’t know why the Apple version doesn’t come with this design because it’s awesome! The magnet strength is great, it is easy to install, the design is awesome, and I love how well it hold the pen and still allows it to charge.

Arrived used AND didn’t work
I ordered this case hoping it would be a good solution to having protection for my iPad Pro M4 and give me a solid place to hold my Apple Pencil with my Magic Keyboard opposed to the slide in pencil holder I found on Amazon.I was excited to receive it just in time for me to deploy overseas but as soon as I opened the Amazon packaging I found the box damaged and the tamper tape broken on both ends of the box. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and opened the box only to see obvious signs of use. This is in no way the “new” item I believed I was buying. I unfortunately was leaving the country the next morning and had no means of returning it.I have tried using it still but the final straw on top of everything else is that it constantly disconnects whenever it wants with no real way of connecting back. My only solution is to take my iPad out of the case to use my Magic Keyboard which defeats the purpose of this product. A week ago I tried emailing the Switcheasy support from their webpage with no answer since. At this point all I can do is try to steer others away from my $45 mistake and recommend against purchasing this product. If I could go lower than 1 star I would but Amazon likes to be generous.

An Honest Review
I feel like sometimes people see products and expect manufacturers to be able to deny the laws of physics. The truth is if you are looking for something that is compatible with the Magic Keyboard you have to understand you’re going to be getting something pretty thin. It has to be able to fit in clothes while using this keyboard and this product does exactly that. Yes, at one end the cover does not extend all the way, but that is simply because once again due to the laws of physics, two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time lol. There would be no possible way to close this due to the fact of how the Magic Keyboard is set up.You were wanting to buy this if you want a cover that you could put on your iPad and pop it in and out of the Magic Keyboard case. You want something thin that will protect it from scratches. If you are looking for something super durable that could fall from 68 feet and still protected this isn’t for you. This isn’t some sort of OtterBox defender. For me, it did exactly what I wanted it to.

Great but sad it did break
I saw several other reviews saying how cheap it is made or how easy it breaks. I still bought it and I’ve had it for almost a year and the corner just randomly chipped off. I was bummed about that! But overall, this has been a great product and really helpful for when I go back-and-forth between my magic keyboard and using my pencil! I just wish I was a little bit more well-made.

Great Functionality But…
This is a great addition to the iPad Pro when using it in conjunction with the Magic Keyboard case from Apple. Where the Magic Keyboard lacks any formal protection for the iPad this product steps in to add a thin layer over most of the body and edges.I use my iPad primarily for my college classes, and I purchased the magic keyboard in order to cultivate the perfect balance of hand written notes and typed papers. In order to take hand written notes I have to remove the iPad from the Magic Keyboard and it’s non abrasive surfaces. For me, this presents a problem. This piece of technology that I have spent a great deal of money on is now made vulnerable to damage daily. That is what motivated me to purchase the CoverBuddy; after researching all options for protection that work with the magic keyboard, this is the only one that could really work.Unfortunately, while I do believe this is a very necessary addition to the any working setup that utilizes the iPad for both typed and “by hand” writing it does not seem to be structured to last. I purchased this in late September and have used it continuously since. As can be seen in the pictures provided, the corner of this that attaches at the power and volume buttons area has cracked and broken in two places, resulting in a hanging piece that can now potentially catch and break further. This damage also seems to threaten its ability to stay on the iPad as it is at one of the two main fitment corners.Understanding that everything from or related to Apple products comes at a higher price, I do have some trouble rationalizing a $60 price point for only 4 months of protection. I have seen other reviewers note that theirs lasted nearly a year, but I wonder how they use it. Active use for me means pulling out my iPad, removing it with the Coverbuddy from my keyboard, writing notes, and putting it back together in my backpack. No hard wear and tear, or even an excessive number of uses in a given day/week.Still, my suggestion is that you buy it if you want that small amount of additional protection for your iPad as I do, but know that you will likely have to replace it with some frequency. This item is priced as a one time purchase but does not have that level of durability.EDIT 02/21/2023:Since my last submission of this review one of the magnetic pins that allows data transfer between the iPad and the Magic Keyboard has fallen out making this case ineffective. It has been less than six months of regular, gentle, use and this case has cracked and lost functionality. Not worth $60 when it must be replaced regularly.

Great case!!!
The case fit perfectly with my iPad and Magic Keyboard. It seems like they fixed the not-closing-completely problem as you can see in my second photo!! The pencil holder is a bit larger than the pencil size but it still secures the pencil well and I think it would be good for people who are using a case with their pencil.I’m not sure about the durability though since I’ve just used this for a few days, will update in a few months.

Cracks easily
I initially settled on this case for my new iPad. It seemed to be doing quite well for a while. Then my iPad accidentally fell from a shelf about 4 ft tall. While the iPad survived without any issues this case cracked in the corner. For the cost, ~$45, I expected much more from this case and did not expect it to obtain a crack from a single fall
