Performs as well or better than the Bushnell
I was looking for an less expensive slope capable rangefinder and decided to buy this one as well as a non-slope Bushnell V3 for comparison purposes. I have attached pictures for your comparison. The Caddytek is seemingly good quality and looks great. It is slightly smaller than the Bushnell and feels more comfortable in my hand. I tested them both at over a dozen distances and the results came back exactly the same. I was able to laser houses to over 1000 yards with both units in my neighborhood. I also tried it at the driving range on flags and while I really like the jolt function of the Bushnell, I didn't have any trouble picking up flags with the Caddytek.Clarity and magnification was very good on both units. It was better than what is seen in the attached picture. I found the display on the Caddytek to be easier to read and it picked up distances faster than the Bushnell.I'm not sold on the usefulness of the slope function, but for the price of the Caddytek it is a nice option to have. I don't believe I would opt for the slope on Bushnell as it is quite a bit more expensive.Long term use will tell the tale for the Caddytek, but based on my initial impressions, this one is a winner. I prefer the Caddytek for looks, feel and performance. The only thing that I liked better about the Bushnell was the very nice carrying case that was included.Edit:I compared the Caddytek and the Bushnell while playing for the last two weeks. I can say that I liked everything about the Caddytek better than the Bushnell with the exception of the carrying case (Bushnell is very nice) and the jolt function of the Bushnell. Also, I have come to love the slope function while playing on mountainside courses in Utah. It can make a very big difference in club selection. I purchased both units with the intent to return one. I decided today to keep the Caddytek and return the Bushnell.

Pretty Good Rangefinder -- Not Perfect
I'm reasonably well pleased with this rangefinder. It works well, and is effective both with and without the slope function. It is very easy to change from slope function to non-slope function simply by quickly changing a chip panel on the side, which also provides visual confirmation that you are not using the slope function in a tournament. The 6X viewfinder is very clear, and adds value as simply a monocular telescope on the course for seeing distant items more clearly. And, at the price I paid, which was considerably less than most of the competitors, it is a terrific value. Having said all that, it is not perfect. It's a little harder to be sure you are reading the right target distance, since there is no confirmation like a shake or buzz ("Jolt" technology) like in some of the other competitive products. Once you have differentiated between a more distant target (trees, etc.) behind the flagstick and the flagstick itself, it is quite accurate -- but it's a little too easy to read a tree or bush behind the flagstick 20-30 yards further away. If I were to do this purchase over again, it would be a hard choice between this very good CaddyTek rangefinder -- a great value at less than half the price -- versus the more expensive Bushnell V4 with slope and Jolt. I still think the CaddyTek value would win out, since I find myself overall happy with it.UPDATE IN JULY, 2018I've reduced by one star my rating, from 4 to 3. The slope function has ceased to work at all, even with the "slope" chip installed. And the lack of shake/buzz (Jolt pinseeker) is becoming more irritating. It seems it's getting harder to focus in on the real target. I am thinking I will likely soon bite the bulllet and pay the ugly price for one of the better rangefinders, like a good Bushnell. Too bad -- this caddytek had promise, I though. But I'm overall disappointed after using it for quite a while.

This is a great rangefinder at a great price! Beats the others by a long shot!
Get it... long shot... is this thing on... :) Really this is a great golf rangefinder. I bought two and gave one to a buddy of mine. It has slope, but can be disabled to use in tournament play (in a tournament this Sunday!). The accuracy is spot on and have checked it against my phone GPS app, cart GPS, and against expensive rangefinders.I've seen some reviews talk about battery life being poor - that's not the case. I've used this rangefinder for at least 15 rounds and still on the first battery! They must have received a defective unit because this thing is good. Just now showing battery fatigue and will replace it for the first time this weekend. Also others talked about accuracy. Again, it's been accurate for me and c'mon, let's face it, we're not pros. Even if it tells me it's 158 to the pin - I still have to hit the damn ball!!! No rangefinder is going to make any of us pros any time soon! So, stop with the drama! It's a good rangefinder, with pinseeking, with slope that can be disabled, and accurate. It's also a great price and comes with a holder that has a caribiener to clip to your bag. What more do you want? Five stars!!!!!

Smart range finder.
I bought this range finder some time ago. I immediately went on the golf course to compare this range finder with much more expensive Bushnell range finder. CaddyTek always showed one yard less than Bushnell. I played around 10 rounds with CaddyTek range finder. I have to say, it's pretty smart and very good device. It's light and fits very well into my hand. Why to pay mega money for big brands? This range finder works perfectly for me. If you are not willing to pay mega money for big brands, this is your answer. Highly recommended

Does exactly what it says on the tin
Excellent piece of kit. Easy to use and can detect pins relatively easily up to 280 yards away without too much difficulty. You need a steady hand but with a little practice you get better at getting the readings first time.

Great buy and just as good as the premium brands
Brilliant for the price and brilliant in general. Brought this with view if it was no good I’d buy a bushnell or other premium brand - glad I did as does the job just as good as my friends more expensive ones, getting the same readings. Recommend buying this.

Very happy with it
Very happy with the performance of the rangefinder. Picks up the pins and targets very quickly. I have checked its accuracy against the Bushnell and it has showed the same distances. It is robust and easy to use. Good value and I would recommend.
