I stained mine since I have no light colored wood in the room
This is a stand for lightweight things. My crystal ball is much too heavy to use this as a stand so some common sense needs to come in play when using/handling it. If I yanked on it or put 20 lbs on it, I would not be happy with the results. I used the stand for my Abalone Shell. My shell is 5.5-6" and it fits in nicely. Despite how flimsy it looks, it hasn't fallen or dropped the shell. I have it on my dresser so I am in the drawers a lot and the stand don't budge even with me pulling them out or pushing them in. Although all the wooden furniture in my room don't exactly match, none of it is light so I stained the stand (of sorts) mahogany to make it darker. (I say "of sorts" since my stain is not really a real stain but a colored marker that is suppose to be stain.) Had I used a real stain, it would have been much nicer but for my needs this worked well so I wanted to let you know, the color can be changed since the seller left it natural. Each is one piece so there are no ugly glue marks or joints that would show up when stained. The stand holds my shell up so no more worries about the shell scratching my dresser top which is the main reason I wanted it. (That and it looks a whole lot nicer!) I am very pleased with this purchase.

Beautiful Display Stand with One Small Flaw
This wooden holder is the perfect size to showcase my ostrich egg in our school classroom. The rich, polished wood looks elegant and adds a natural warmth to the display. It definitely catches the eye and adds a touch of curiosity to our science corner!Pros:✔️ Perfect fit for large eggs like ostrich or emu✔️ Beautiful, high-quality wood with a smooth finish✔️ Lightweight but surprisingly sturdy✔️ Great for educational displays or home decorCons:➖ The egg can slip off if bumped — not ideal for high-traffic areas without some reinforcement➖ No non-slip grip or padding includedTip: I added a bit of museum putty underneath the egg for extra security.Overall, a great stand that looks stunning — just needs a little help to stay safe and steady!

Soft, weak material with a stain that stains
It's made of some very soft wood-like material that broke under the weight of the object I want to display. The reddish finish rubs off, staining fingers and whatever you set it on. Looks nice in the picture, but not a quality object.

Got it for shell
Got it to display a shell and has been holding it up for a year now. Setting it up is awkward but it works. Although for the quality, it should be cheaper.
