AnyToneAnytone USB Programming Cable for At-5888UV AT-778UV Mobile Radio

Cable was working great when I first received it. Used it about 4 times to program my radio, and the 4th time wouldnt read or write to the radio. At first I thought it was the radio, so I did a factory reset, which only caused me to lose all of the radios programming. Then tried to re-install and uninstall the drivers on windows 8.1. Spent about a day and a half trying to figure out a solution, everything had been working fine with no changes to the computer prior to this cable not working. My final determination, it was either the radio or cable. So, I decided to order a FTDI chipped cable, a little more expensive, but definitely worth it, as it's more windows 8.x and 10 friendly. The FTDI cable worked, and was I able to program the radio from a previously saved configuration.Finally, at a last look, it appears the small wire in the RJ-45 connector is broken. The picture is very hard to see, and was just by-chance that I had seen the copper through the insulation.

Tried to email to the Seller 'Lucky' over getting the correct programming software, but they were TOTALLY LAME. They kept replying with BS hype. The AT-778UV radio can be programmed by CHIRP. Please dont try and get it from seller, as they only give links to hacked, non real Anytone software!

I purchased a used Anytone AT-5888UV and needed the programming cable. Purchased this and it made life easy getting my radio programmed the way I like it. Works with Chirp or the factory software. I highly recommend getting this if you are purchasing the AT-5888UV or the UV3. I believe it also works with the 25 watt version dual band radio.

Yup as long as you have the programming software from Midland this works with MXT400 GMRS radio. Was nice to be able to buy off Amazon. Did NOT work on Windows 7 (couldnt locate drivers) but Win10 was a breez.

Did the job with no problem, Windows 10 computer recognized it right away and installed the drivers, made programming the radio is snap
