I have multiple cats and dogs. About a month ago I realized they had fleas and it was bad. I gave each pet a flea bath. I used carpet flea spray on all carpet and bedding. I combed each pet every day. After a week the percentage of fleas went down to 50%. I then bought Hartz purple flea collars and another flea bath. I continued daily with washing, spraying, and combining. After 2 weeks the fleas went from 50% down to 25%.I didn't want to use the topical treatment because I feared they would lick it off eachother. I put this topical treatment on all of my cats except 2. Two days later when checking them, I couldn't find any fleas on the cats that had the treatment. So the fleas went from 25% to 5%. On the two cats that hadn't had the treatment I found 1 and some eggs on one cat, and 4 adult fleas on the other cat. Yesterday I used treatment on the last two cats and I'm expecting this to get rid of all of the fleas.At the beginning of this, the amount of fleas was insane. What I thought was dirt on my cat, was flea eggs(flea dirt). Deep cleaning, spraying, washing, bathing, combining, flea collars, and finally topical treatment has gotten rid of almost all the fleas.Don't forget to clean out your litter boxes completely. Fleas lay their legs in the litter. I hope this helps other furr moms.

It’s only been a week but my 4 cats are clear of fleas.Within hours, I could see fleas jumping off my cats, especially our white cat. Then, I started finding dead fleas in their bedding. And today I did not see 1 flea on them. Or the dogs, and I used this same brand on them. I hope it lasts.I did notice the difference in the amount of product in each tube and was nervous it wasn’t going to help. It went on easily. I feel a sense of relief for my pets.To prevent reinfestation, we’ve been treating our home and yard. We had been using Wondercide pet & house products but the pet products just weren’t keeping our animals flea free for more than 24 hours.

We didn’t get fleas until we got a dog where we had to bring in an out and we have 2 cats. The application is really easy and the cats have no issues when we gave them the mediation. It also works pretty quickly we have been flea free with within the month of using it.

I’ve been using this product on all 3 of my animals for over a year. I have 2 dogs and a cat. The cat one is 5-9lbs. This is the first time my cat has a bald spot and some skin irritation at the site I applied it last month. I did notice this last time it seemed to be much less oil so maybe more concentrated?! Not sure I’ll continue to monitor

This may contain the same ingredients as Advantage II but it definitely is NOT the same. My cats currently have fleas. (I have 7 cats.) They have had fleas before so I know the treatment schedule I need to follow to break the life cycle and end the infestation.This product is a joke. It's effectiveness doesn't even last 7 days. I thought perhaps this infestation was worse though I couldn't see how that was possible because last time I had fleas all over my house and this time I do not. Still, I gave it a chance. You can imagine how much I have to order to treat 7 cats multiple times. I'm done. I've gone back to Advantage II. I feel like I'm just throwing money down a deep hole to get no results.The packaging is also awful. Several of my cats fight me when I need to put the meds on them so I have to hold them down. The liquid doesn't come out of the tube quickly AT ALL and it also makes a very loud sound when it's getting close to the end which only scares the cat more and I sometimes lose my hold and have to wait until I can get a hold of them again to finish the dose.It does not work. Anyone who says it does obviously doesn't have a cat with fleas. And if it's being used as a preventative measure then the cat probably didn't encounter any.....beyond day 5 of being dosed. Pay the extra money and get Advantage II. At least it actually works.

My cat is 6 mo old and learning to be an indoor outdoor cat so I bought this as a preventative it's first time I've ever used a flea treatment on him so it was a little nervous. He acting very sleepy way sleeper than normal as if he's drugged and he's been sleeping since yesterday I read through the comments to see if this was normal and I don't see anybody else remarking on it though I'm very concerned.I'll update this if anything else changes.

Made the mistake of buying a cheaper brand a few weeks back. Big mistake. Advecta works for all 3 of my cats & begins immediately to kill off fleas. Won't make that mistake again, sticking with what works, at a reasonable price!
