Q: Can these be used for hot tea?

These are very durable and versatile glassware. They can be dropped on hard surfaces and rarely break. They are able to contain hot tea, although you may need some pad for holding thze tea, which may be very hot! Our family has used these glasses for 3 generations and will continue to do so! I encourage you to get a set of the Picardie glasses. Amazon has a basic set, plus other individual sizes that are not in the basic set.

Q: I purchased these glasses about 6 months ago. the glasses become rough on the inside. Has anyone else had this problem?

After about 9 months of daily use my set turned cloudy due to the dishwasher. Have had similar glasses from Ikea that lasted several years before starting to show this problem.
