Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder Drink Mix Mocha Cappuccino 2273g

I haven't used protein shakes before but I'm going to the gym with advise from my physio to build muscle in my leg and my pt advised in my case that protein shakes would benefit me. After a lot of research I went with gold whey. I've recently come off a diet so I didn't want anything too high in carbs/calories but still wanted a good flavour. I went for the mocha cappucino which only seems to be available in the larger size so I went for that and it's delicious. I'm not such a sweet tooth and it's chocolatey without being overpowering. I use after a workout if I don't have time for real protein within the one hour window. Tastes great with porridge - make up as normal with skimmed milk then just as it's off the heat/out of the microwave mix in one scoop and an extra 10ml or so of cold milk and it's lovely and creamy. Also only a small amount of water is needed when making the shake to keep the nice thick flavour. Looking forward to trying other varieties once this has finished.

There are many cheaper vendors out there selling Whey Protein Powder but I keep coming back to ON's range of powders because they taste absolutely fantastic, mix extremely well in milk or water (seriously, no clumps or residue at the bottom) and are really low fat and low in calories compared to the competition. The Mocha Cappuccino smells and tastes great for anyone who likes coffee. It's not the same as chocolate but in my opinion it tastes better.It's not overly sweet (which in my opinion is a good thing) and works really well if you are mixing in milk, peanut butter, banana slices and ice (check out recipes like this to spruce up your drink) to make a hefty shake.

Although, it's not as good as the 'Platinum hydrowhey turbo chocolate' (that's by far the best tasting protein i've ever had - and i have tried many protein flavors from different brands!), but this flavor is still pretty good! tastes very similar to the 'Gold standard double choclate' flavor but with a hint of coffee in it, which works for me! However, people who are expecting to taste a full-on mocha cappuccino flavor might get a bit disappointed. but if you try it with milk it tastes awesome! try low-fat milk. doesnt taste that good with water but non of the gold standard proteins do tbh.The gold standard will never have the dense rich flavors as the platinum hydrowhey, but obviously its also more expensive than the gold standard. therefore, for the price, it think its an awesome protein overall, from one of the best brands!

After doing lots of "google" search about whey protein powders - brands etc., I decided to go for this product as I'm usually a huge fan of coffee flavoured things. I was not wrong with my decision. It tastes really good.I ordered "Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey Protein 2.27 kg - Mocha Cappuccino" on on 9 Jan 2013. It was delivered this morning, 11 Jan, at around 08.00am (London). Very quick delivery - impressive!I would love to hear if there is any coffee flavoured ORGANIC / NATURAL whey protein brand in the market though, I could not find one!

The internal seal was completely missing from this Mocha cappuccino flavour from Nature's Remedies. It had a external seal but was in a different tub to all other ON gold standard whey I have purchased. All others have had both external and internal seal and I buy this regularly in double chocolate. I wanted to try Mocha Cappuccino so paid £30 more for this 2.27kg tub than I normally pay, so to receive a tub with no internal seal added insult to injury!

The flavour is really good. bland and easily mixed with water and milk, tasty. highly recommend it. The price is also reasonable comparing with other brands

I'm a big fan of coffee so I saw this and had to try it. Not disappointed, very tasty with milk or water, mixes well without any annoying lumps. Happy to buy it again.

Im very pleased with the suppliement, the mocha cappachino tastes great however id advice use a little less milk that recommended or the taste is too mild to enjoy. Mixes easily and im enjoying the results im getting from it. A little research quickly reveals that ON is the best quality of whey protein out there. The value is second to none as well, the amazon price for the 2.2kg is the same as what tesco are asking for the 908g tub so save some cash or get more supp for you buck and buy this!!
