So far so good - they light up the night
If prefer these to the short-lived (but brighter) Silver Stars. These are more than adequate in illumination. Was easy to install, and lights up the night

Headlights that do what headlights do.
They do appear to be brighter than common headlights.

already better than what's available in stores
Already outlasted the Sylvania brand that is sold in all the stores. The original equipment lasted about 150K miles or well over 10 years. Then had to replace every 5-6 months on both sides, which I thought was pretty ridiculous. Wal Mart finally started stocking other brands for other bulbs, but not auto, All the auto parts stores stock Sylvania only. All of their bulbs are terrible. Their life span is very very short, no matter what the use-very inferior product, i.e. built to sell no to use.

Bright and White!!!
Had bulb go out on my 99 Dodge Ram. Always replace both at same time, especially with these as you want the lights to match. Are they 60% brighter? I think that's a stretch, but they are brighter and whiter than stock. Maybe 25% more or so. Make sure you put on some gloves so that you don't touch these bulbs with your fingers. Everyone on here saying "They only lasted a year". Getting your oil on them, SIGNIFICANTLY reduces life span. Great bulbs. Also double check they are the correct ones. Amazon's part fitment guide kinda works, but it's not the gold standard.

UPDATE: Died after 3-1/2 months. ORIGINAL: Good clean light, a bit more cutoff at the mid-range sides than I'm used to.
I got tired of Sylvania Silverstar and higher-grade headlights burning out after eight months or so (I'm looking at you, GE Nighthawk Platinum), so I thought I'd give these Philips VisionPlus bulbs a try. I've had them for a little while now.-------------------UPDATE 11/30/16: My records show that I installed a pair of these bulbs on 8/16/16. One bulb died today, 11/30/16. That's about 3-1/2 months use, and 2,506 miles of mostly daytime driving. It's back to Sylvania XTravision (the second-cheapest of the series) for me.------------------They are not quite as bright as the Silverstars, which is fine if they last longer. They seem pretty equal in straight-down-the-road beam distance, and the light is neutral white, not glaring. But, they do have shorter range at 10:00 and 2:00 positions, which I notice ONLY on one particular section of road I drive regularly, which has sweeping curves, few lights, and a 50 mph speed limit. These headlights illuminate less of the curve by just enough to make me slow down after dark, which I don't recall even thinking about having to do with the Silverstars. But, closer in, they seem to have a perfectly adequate beam width (easily curb-to-curb) for ordinary residential street driving at lower speeds.I'll post again and probably add a star if they last significantly more than a year.UPDATE 11/30/16: They didn't. In fact, one of the pair died much earlier than expected, hence the one-star rating.

Car bulbs
The bulbs worked just fine.

O-ring too large.
The bulb is ok and the price is right. Wanted to replace in pairs and upgrade to a slightly brighter bulb. The problem is we could not get the bulb installed in my Dodge Ram due to the fact that the o-ring being a little too large and not fitting snug on the bulb. Wasted a lot of time trying to get them installed. Tried lube on the o-ring to no avail, the o-ring kept rolling out. Finally had to replace the o-ring on both bulbs and they went right in.

Great upgrade from stock bulbs
Compared to factory replacement, these are way brighter. Great light, its a cool white color. The old bulbs were a soft yellow color and I was not comfortable driving my car at night. These are a great product and I would definitely buy these again.
