KEEN Whisper Toddler Hook-and-Loop Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid)

I love cutesy sandals for my daughter (almost 3), but she needs a rugged shoe that can keep up with her. She is an adventurer and a pro-faller. She (and I, for that matter) needs a shoe that protects her toes and helps her balance.This shoe is great! We just went camping where my daughter ran these shoes in all terrain. She swam in them, and she poured dirt all over them. They didn't dry quickly after she swam, but they didn't seem to bother her feet while she wore them wet. Each evening I rinsed the shoes out and let them dry overnight. Just rinsing the shoes made them look better! As for the stinkiness of the shoe, sweaty feet are just stinky by nature. Rinsing them helped. After our camping trip, I washed the shoes in my washing machine (with some towels), and then I set them out to dry. They look new again, and they don't stink at all (until two stinky feet are in them)!My daughter also wore these shoes for a long visit to the zoo, and she really liked them.I think the sizing is about right. My daughter wears a 7-7.5 in Stride Rites, and these are an 8. She has a some room in the foot bed, but that didn't seem to cause her any trouble as you can tighten it up a bit with the elastic rip cord. They hug her feet and won't fall off. Hopefully these will last her a while!

Keens are the best kids shoes ever!!! These are my 4 year old's go to summer sandals. There is little she can do to damage them. They are durable and take a complete beating and look nice. When they get dirty, I throw them in the wash and they come out good as new. I try and get my daughter keens in multiple colors every summer and she wears them with everything. Shorts, check. Pants, check. Dresses, yes, dresses too. The only thing I would not pair them with is a super fancy easter dress. The best part about them, when she outgrows them, I can pass them on to someone else and they look almost brand new. I will always buy Keens!The color in the picture is pretty much spot on. I guess you call it a coral color? It pairs nicely with neon pink/orange....the one that is popular right now. It also pairs nicely with peach colors. More versatile then I would have thought. WILL BUY AGAIN****I'm sure I paid full price for these, if not top dollar (but they are SO worth it)

These are the best. I've (finally) learned not to cheap out on little kid shoes; even though they usually outgrow them in less than a year (as i've been known to grumble to myself as I pull out my credit card), spending $40-50 on a pair that will last until they are outgrown (and can then be a hand-me-down for a sibling or friend, or donated) is TOTALLY worth it, as opposed to buying two or three pairs of $15-20 shoes over the course of the same time period, because the cheap velcro on cheap shoes always stops sticking, or something falls apart, and they aren't as comfortable or functional in the first place.Trust me, I am frugal, and I've done this... pretty much every year until this last year, when I figured it out. Keen are really high quality nice shoes that are perfect for kids (and adults - I have two pairs also) who run around constantly, hike, climb things that they should, and shouldn't climb, jump in puddles, etc. The tread is nice and thick, the velcro never gives out, and they're just... nice. Plus they have the covered toes and heel straps which most summer camps require for young children.

My daughter (age 7) lives in Keens (H2) every summer but hasn’t had this style before. She loves them and put them on immediately and didn’t want to take them off. Was scheduled for two-day delivery and we got them a day early just in time for camp!Updated review: We have owned Keen H2s consistently for years without problems. The hook on the back of this one strangely burst (see pictures) after just two weeks of wear. Keen is saying it takes up to 30 days to respond to warranty requests. I bought these shoes for camp so I'm more than disappointed because by the time it is resolved, camp will be over. She does use the pull tabs to slide the shoes on and off. Particularly because she's getting in and out of the pool. Definitely not as happy with the Keen Whisper.Updated July 17, 2018: Keen warranty service responded to me and I am replacing the Keen Whisper shoes (which wore down very quickly for 3 weeks of wear) with the H2s. I ordered the H2s from the Keen website, which I am certain to be satisfied with since I have had a number of pairs over the years. Good customer service as Keen stood by their product and provided a replacement.

I bought these sandals for my 7 year old daughter to wear to camp. She is somewhat picky about her footwear and complains whenever something does not feel just right. With these sandals, I have heard no complaints. They protect her feet from the rigors of playing games, hiking trails, climbing on rocks by the beach, and she even wears them in the lake. They stay on securely, do not give her blisters, and clean up well at the end of each day. I simply rinse them off with the hose and let them dry- they are ready to wear again in the morning and they look great. They are holding up really well for my active kiddo. I like how soft they are inside the area around her ankle, allowing her to go without socks all day long with no pain or blisters. These are great and I will probably buy them again next year in the next size up! I highly recommend them.
