If clamped down tight to a pole and not bolted onto something, would the clamp part be likely to twist around te pole?

I use them to hold a couple of umbrellas up on my porch and the awesome!!! When clamped they hold fast and nothing twists, hope this helps.

Will this work to vertically hold brooms or mops or are the better suited to hold one tool with two clamps, horizontally?I

For something fairly light (not a heavy string mop,) I'd imagine a vertical hold wouldn't be a problem. I use mine to hold my staff and a couple of canes in my motorhome.

How should these be mounted ? Tab up for horixontal or vertical ? Any good photos for best weight

Can be mounted vertically or horizontally. It depends on the application. If you need to hold say a broom handle, mount it vertically, if you need to hold a run of hose horizontal to the ground, mount it horizontally.
