Excellent Value for an Outstanding Lens
The Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens is a stellar addition to any photographer's kit, offering exceptional value for its price. This compact and lightweight lens packs a punch with its sharp image quality and beautiful bokeh, making it perfect for portraits, street photography, and even some macro shots. One of the standout features is the fast f/1.8 aperture, which performs brilliantly in low-light conditions and allows for excellent subject isolation. The autofocus is quick and quiet, thanks to the STM motor, which is a significant advantage for both stills and video work. The build quality is impressive for such an affordable lens. While it’s mostly plastic, it feels solid and durable, with a metal mount adding to its robustness. The lens is also incredibly lightweight, making it easy to carry around for extended shooting sessions.Image quality is where this lens truly shines. It delivers sharp, crisp images with great color rendition and contrast. The bokeh is smooth and pleasing, adding a professional touch to your photos. Chromatic aberration and distortion are minimal, which is remarkable at this price point. In conclusion, the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens is an outstanding choice for both amateur and professional photographers. It offers excellent performance, fantastic image quality, and incredible value, making it a must-have for anyone with a Canon RF mount camera.Highly recommended!

Great lens at great price
The best of the best in terms of price/quality ratio. You can't compare it to the L versions but those cost 20 times more.

Best Value for Money Lens you can buy
Everybody will tell you that every photographer whether amateur or professional should have a 'nifty-fifty' in their camera bag....... and they're right. Great little lens and great quality too.... and for the price, you can't go wrong.

Lovley item
Great quality lens.I advise you get a UV filter to protect the end of the lens but it's great.I love to use it for portraits. I am able to focus on someone's closest eye eye but have the edge of their face beginning to fade out and the background will be totally blurred.Love it.Seems good quality.

Incredible value and great fun to use
This is a fantastic lens. When used with a full frame camera (I use the R6 MkII) it's easily the most versatile and capable prime lens you can get for anywhere near this price range.I think this is a perfect starting point for any newbie, and is also perfect for honing skulls further if you're an enthusiast. It helps you to focus on composition and the use of the aperture to get different effects. It's very light, but still robust enough to easily sit in a bag and get swapped out regularly. The focus mechanism does create a bit of noise, but I've never found it too distracting. It may need consideration if you're using it as a film lense. But build quality is excellent and it's easily the best looking of canon's 50mm lenses of the past. You can't go wrong with it, give it a go!
