Very versatile little EDC pliers
These are great for every day carry or for the tool kit of a motorcycle, which is where I keep them. They are well made and incredibly sturdy for their size. The jaws are accurate and can even function as tweezers. They are also a perfect size for emergency dental extractions (probably!). They offer a surprising amount of grip and leverage even on quite large bolts, and will bite into smooth metal rods or wire extremely firmly.

Pocket sized perfection
I was shown one of these by a friend who was using it instead of a pot lifter while camping. It was so tactile that I had to have one.My job is maintenance in a large school and one or two tools are always in my pocket. I found I was carrying a Swiss Army Knife AND a multi tool, but only ever using the pliers on the latter. Within days of this Knipex arriving, it was my primary first choice for nearly everything. The knife has stayed and the multi tool is now in the hands of somebody else. The one handed operation means those tight spaces at the back of sinks etc are much more accessible and the strength achievable in this tiny wrench has to be experienced to be believed. In the couple of weeks that I’ve owned this remarkable tool, two friends have bought them for themselves and a heating engineer (who prides himself on his Knipex collection) actually borrowed mine for a tight space on the school boiler, and then promptly ordered one there and then.I have seldom been more delighted by the purchase of a tool, it is robust to the point of being nothing short of Mighty. The design is immaculate and a joy to use. It can handle anything up to an inch and slightly more, but can be employed in a huge amount of everyday tasks that would normally involve heading to the tool box. The precision for jobs like retrieving tiny screws which have slipped through to the back of fittings (as I can personally attest) is, I would say in my gushing praise, almost surgical.Highly recommended and an obvious five stars in all categories.

A great addition to edc
We've all seen those expensive pocket multitools, but what if there was a different way?Yep, I have the equivalent of a swiss army but by the American multitool maker, and these in the same pouch, and it's better than the pliers that most multitools come with.Ok, no wire snips, but most I can do with the included scissors, or knife! They fit together in one pouch on my belt.Lovely size for your pocket or small tool pouch, but better at nuts than multitool pliers.Extremely well made, versatile, and easy to use.Very easy to recommend.

Knipex Cobra XS
Instead of carrying a larger multi-tool (like a leatherman) I have chosen to buy a decent pocket knife and a selection of tools to keep in my pocket. This has worked out cheaper and has left me with better quality items overall.I chose these Knipex pliers to keep in my pocket and they are an excellent choice. They fit in my jeans 5th pocket, with just the tips of the handles poking out. The mouth of this is easy to adjust and it has a wide range of adjustment. The tip is precisie enough to grip smaller items and adjusts wide enough to grip nuts and bolts with ease. The handle may be a little too small to get adequate torque at times, but as long as you are aware of what this is and what it is inteneded for, you should have no complaints. These are well machined, with grip knurling and there are no sharp edges on the teeth etc. These are an excellent everyday carry item and would suppliment a pocket knife well.

Very small, very light, while still being useful
This is tiny, perfect for keeping with a bicycle repair kit. It can easily grip the end of a brake cable, and in a pinch can do duty as a spanner (although it will leave teeth marks in the nut). The handles are very short, and not particularly comfortable, but make up for that by being surprisingly grippy.

Best micro gripping pliers you can buy, and not a bad shifting spanner in a pinch
I am a Knipex fanboi, and have been gradually replacing my tools (mainly bike servicing, a little car and household maintenance including electricals) .If you have seen Knipex Pliers in operation these XS are the same high quality, great pliers, that serve double duty as shifting spanners though they are not as nice as the Knipex Pliers Wrench (100 mm 86 04 100) as the serrated jaws will mar the bolt (but they are much cheaper). As pliers I find them more effective as the jaws are parallel, the harder you pull the tighter they grip. Though the cobra type (serrated teeth) are ideal for any thing you need to dig into for grip if you don't mind scoring the surface but need that extra purchase/torque otherwise go for the other Wrench over the Cobra .This one is tiny, it feels high quality, robust, and can do jobs I wouldn't dare use a similar sized tool from the typical UK household brands. Get it on sale and the price premium isn't that bad.If you get fanboi-ish don't bother with every size, they are so versatile you can skip a few sizes and be able to do any job requiring pliers, this XS one last, for the fiddly jobs in tight spaces or when you want to finish of an EDC tool bag.And remember when you're justifying the cost to yourself take into account the speed and lack of frustration on getting a job done.

Adjustable pliers in a small package.
Knipex - need I say more? The brand's reputation speaks for itself. It is a very useful pair of adjustable pliers in a compact, easy to carry package.

Just get one!
Not cheap, but super handy! Not only do these fit into tighter areas than most multi-tools that have the combination pliers, but they can open up much wider too! The best part is that even when gripping larger objects you can adjust it so the handles remain pretty close together, making it much more comfortable to grip while preventing slipping. Traditional multi-tool pliers, when grasping objects near the edge of their jaw opening limit, require you to try and squeeze the handles to prevent slipping while they're really far apart, which is not ergonomic at all. These are great little pliers that punch above their weight.
