I've not yet walked out in it, just tried it on to see how it worked. The brim does seem quite steady, but I've not walked out in it as I'm wearing another sun hat. It did however sit on my head OK. It gives me a lot of shade on my face as my skin is not too good and I burn easily. Best wshes
