A tremendous yet less than all encompassing resource for the collector, enthusiast, fantasizer and yeah, watch snob. The catalog is focused on higher to stratospheric end watches with a modest sprinkling of nearly affordable options, enticingly pictured with supplemental historical information on the watchmakers with representative selections of current models available from each watchmaker and major mechanical movement suppliers. While the brands are organized alphabetically and a glossary of terms is included at the end of the catalog, an index would have enhanced this volume.

As a regular purchaser of this guide, I enjoy the details and photos provided. A great way to earmark watches I have interest in and see how my tastes vary year-to-year.

A great book of various companies, allowing you to do some research for your next watch. They cover the major players and a ton of microbrands.My only complaint - the only one - is they continue to give coverage to the brand Kobold, which a known scam artist.

The pros: good production quality, good photos... but it is primarily a large catalog of specifications - not reviews, specifications. You can find the same info on the web regarding any model or maker - this simply packages them all in a single book. If that is your thing, you will love the book. There were a few articles, well written - but most pages follow the pattern of company background, thumbnail images of key models, and their movements.
