Great for details, tiny drawings, and adding details to watercolor painting
I ordered these Staedtler Triplus Fineliner set of 36 colors after trying some lesser fineliner markers on dried watercolor flowers to add detail. And I am happy to report that this set, which has better quality markers and a better color selection, is perfect for what I wanted it for. Please note, these are not alcohol markers - they are water soluble, so I add the fine details to florals with these markers after my loose flower paintings are totally dry, and they look great. I use a color that is a little darker than the paint I use for the flower, and it looks like gentle shadows or botanical details, giving the paintings a very finished look. They're also great for tiny, detailed drawings. I do a lot of smaller, detailed abstracts - usually very geometric - and these pens are wonderful for these. The paper i use is tile to postcard sized, and I'm very pleased with the results. Please note that I hvaen't yet lightfast tested them, although I will. For now, I use them for sketchbook work, where lightfastness isn't important.I love drawing with them, love adding them to dry watercolor paints, and they really did exceed my expectations. Oh, and considering they're under $20 for 36 markers, I also consider them a good value.

Best Pens for Fine-Detailing, Not Suitable for Coloring Large Areas
Love these pens for outlining and coloring finest details. The Staedtler package is sturdy. What I love about these pens: Ergonomic 3-sided barrel instead of rounded grip; nice range of colors; super-fine tips are just the best for coloring even the smallest spaces. I've been using the pens for a couple months and the tips are still like new. What could be done better: Staedtler pens are not individually labeled with color description or number (at least not that I can see). I made my own color chart and wrote a color code on each cap. Some of the colors are very similar, especially the blue tones so it is important to know which one you are using. Also, a couple of the colors are different from cap color. It would be very helpful if the pen colors were displayed on each pen.A bonus would be to include a color chart on the package.Note: These pens are not designed for coloring larger spaces. For areas more than 5 centimeters wide or tall, I use Stabilo point 68s. As good as the Stabilos are for coloring larger areas, they don't work well for fine-lining details. That's where the Staedtlers really shine. By the way, between the Staedtler and Stabilo sets, you will have a very nice range of colors with few duplicates.

My favorite pens for using in my bullet journal.
These are marketed for coloring, and they are good for the fine details in the Johanna Basford books. My main reason for buying them, however, was for bullet journaling. I like using different colors to encourage myself to keep up with using my planner, and also to help me visually differentiate between different parts of a page. They help me to be a little more organized. What I like about them:* The wide variety of colors, all of which are vivid and strongly pigmented.* The fine line is good for writing in small spaces.* The nib is smooth and writes comfortably. This is the main reason I prefer these over the Stabilo .88, which I find to be scratchy.* The box is well designed to keep the pens in. It's not a super special strength or anything, but it keeps them organized and easy to remove and replace in the same spot.* They are good for multiple uses both practical and artististic.* I have experienced almost no ghosting or bleeding, on paper that other pens of similar type have bled through.* Even on super smooth paper, they write flawlessly. Roller balls and the like sometimes have trouble on very smooth papers, but these will write on just about anything.

Beautiful ultra fine tip markers
These are great ultra fine tip markers. I have both these and Sharpie ultra fine markers. I would have to say out of the two I would give the higher marks to these. The tip is finer and the ink does not bleed as badly. The color choice is great but I wish they had a light tan color. That would make the set perfect. These markers tend to be darker colors though there are some very vibrant colors as well. I guess maybe a few more lighter colors or pastels would be good. I do love them though. They are great for writing or adult coloring books. You can color the small stuff very nicely with these and not have to worry about them bleeding out over the lines. Thank you so much for a great product.

Less bleeding and shadow on thinner paper
These pen/markers are amazing. They are goodfor adult coloring, writing notes for school, writing in a planner, etc. They bleed through thinner paper a little less than my Stablio markers (which FYI I LOVE, but they do tend to bleed through thin pages super easy). So, if you are taking notes in standard notebook paper, this is a little better. I still wouldn't write on both sides of the page, but its a little less see through. For planners, if you have a planner with thinner paper like the Erin Condren this is much better as the Stablio shadow a lot on the other side of the paper. These will as well, but less. I recommend doing a test write on a spare page before using in a journal or notebook that doesn't come with thicker papers just in case.

No complaints here!
These pens are great. The color selection is perfect for my adult coloring books. My only complaint is that the caps don't stay on the back well, and the ink flow requires you to color very slowly. These would also be perfect for writing in general. I have used Sharpe Ultra Fine point in 24pk as well as the Pentel (24k ?) and the Bic Ultra Fine Point in 24pk. I'd have to say that Bic is my favorite for coloring for the way the ink flows out so smoothly, but these pens also create a soothing effect for my anxiety in that it allows me to be a bit more meticulous.
