This kinetic sand construction site was a huge success with my 2 yr old grandson! The crane stand did keep popping off its stand but was easily put back on. Lots of fun using the bulldozer to fill with sand; pressing the sand into the mold & producing great little sand bricks to use in building! Love the kinetic sand texture and mess-fee use! Would buy this again & any additional construction equipment.

Good value, larger bag. Function and fun in one little bag of squishy stuff. Bright colored varieties are available, but we went with the sand colored one. Variety of sizes are also available. We liked this size because it gives a good amount to play with!

I got the 11 pound box and it is exactly the right size for a medium sensory box. I’d say it’s exactly the right amount for 1-2 toddlers to play with. My husband hates normal sand because that gets everywhere and this was our compromise so our kiddo can play with sand at home. It had a weird chemical smell when we took it out of the box- I hope it wears off with use and this is part of why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars although I would have given 4.5 stars if I could have. Also it comes packed (like really really packed) in the original packaging so you have to spend about 5 min fluffing up the sand the first time to get it ready. The other issue I have with it is that it is too heavy for a toddler to use a shovel in. However it molds perfectly and you can let it fall through your hands slowly and hide toys in it (even fabric ones) without anything sticking or getting dirty. When it falls out of the sensory box It cleans up easily- just grab a handful of sand and use it to blot up the rest of the sand. Overall great and I recommend it!

Spin Master does not sell Monster Dirt in bulk, just with sets like the Monster Jam Arena.Since the arena does not come with nearly enough dirt, as noted in many reviews (Shame, Spin Master!), Kinetic Sand, also a Spin Master product, makes a good substitute for filling up the arena.The color is a little different, but the consistency is very similar, maybe a little fluffier.

I really liked this! It holds all the sand in one place and when you're done you put the cover on so easy! It's perfect! It comes with sand but can't hurt to add an extra bag too it that's what I did! My niece who is almost 2 and half loves it! It's a great sensory toy! :)
