ATD Tools 80355 15W Corded/7W Cordless Underhood Light with 16' Removable Cord

I'm actually blown away by the quality of this light.....and the brightness. It apparently is 1.5 times the lux performance of their 30 watt fluorescent model. Not sure why that's not in the description. It has ratcheting ends on it, so you can position the light till it's perfect for whatever you want to illuminate. The ends telescope out a good amount, with spring tension, to securely mount on several size hoods. The charging connector is also of high quality. You will not be disappointed.4/12/16 UPDATE: I'm going to add a couple photos. I just ran over the light with my truck (accidentally) trying to rush and get things done. The light didn't even go out!!! It still works perfectly. This is unbelievable.CON: The only con with this light is, you end up using it for purposes other than it was designed. This is where it leads to issues, like running it over, or cord issues. I also experienced the charging cord pulling out.....from my misuse. It's an easy fix. Just hardwire it.

Puts out alot of light, much better than trying to stick magnetic flashlights or worklights up on the hood that aren't bright enough and fall off all the time. This one the rods pull out of both ends and you can slide the unit left or right as needed with out taking it off. It also rotates around so you can aim it back to the firewall, to the front or straight down.Battery life could be a bit longer, it won't make it though an entire day with out being plugged back in. But you can use it and have it plugged in at the same time. Some of the cheap lights only run on battery power and turn off when a charger is connected.

Light is very bright! I love the quality and durability of this light as well as the cord that can be attached and used without. It has an led battery status indicator, that is nice to know how much charge you have. The thickness of the cord and connection is much better than the lights they sale on the tool trucks these days which come with a small phone type charging port which always gets damaged! I also like how it has two brightness settings and the retracting hood holders work just as they are supposed too. Great price for a great light!

Power adapter has broken after 1 year of minimal use. The end where it connects to the light has two solder connections the adapter gets loose over time straining those connections. I now have a useless light I can hard wire it but what's the point? Terrible design I'm out $130 because someone at ATD wanted to save $2 on a fitting.

I love this light, it's lasted over a year during my work day, I'm a Fork Truck Mechanic.BUT!If your charger cord dies ATD will not answer emails, you have to chase the cord down yourself (Part # in the owners manual) and it's only available thru part sites I barely trust.Light works, cord broke ATD customer service doesn't care.

Love this light. I bought one 5 months ago and the end of the charging cord came off. I emailed the company and they were very polite and responded very quickly. All I had to do was forward proof of purchase and a pic of the cord and they popped a new one in the mail the same day. Great customer service. Great product.

This is a really slick light and we bought two for our business. Unfortunately both of the connectors where the charging cord plugs in broke within a week of use. The manufacturer and amazon have zero warranty support so you get screwed. So while having a rechargeable unit is very convenient I would recommend sticking with one of the models that have a permanently attached cord. We have several of those too and they hold up really well and give off plenty of light.

Awesome light, and great quality with the exception if the end of the charger. Where the charger plugs into the light is a plastic compression type fitting. It lasted a week. Now I have a light I can not charge. Update: The manufacturer doesn't sell parts directly, you have to buy parts from the person you bought it from. They don't sell parts either. So now I'm out $100 for a light that was used a week and a half...
