Item works perfectly with my GoPro and several other cameras that require a 1/4-20 mount for the camera. The ball is 1" and seems to be very sturdy !

Works ok but a little smaller than standard ball mounts
Bought this mount to use with a gopro underwater. I works ok, but the plastic is a bit slick and doesn't have the rubber ring in the center that a lot of standard ball mounts have. This makes it just a tiny bit smaller in diameter than those other types of ball mounts. So be aware if mounting to another type ball mount it might not mate perfectly and may slip a little bit.
