BAYFTAHEXM2 Original Trane Replacement Filter (2 Pack)

Same product as installed by my AC service company, but much cheaper.

I have heard a lot of people complaining about misaligned holes, etc. This is not true and they line up perfectly if you pay attention to what you're doing. The two ends are NOT the same and the instructions are unclear which doesn't help.See the attached pictures. The correct way to install these is with the mesh side UP. That's the way the old ones were installed by my service company. Note that one of the cardboard ends is designed to unfold into a box shape. That's why people complain about misaligned holes, they don't notice this. And also note the plastic frame is designed to hold this box on one end. The other end just fits into the slot and has no box, and the frame is straight. So there is only ONE WAY to install the filter correctly.I also attached pictures of both ends so you can see how the filter is supposed to fit inside the frame when it's fully assembled. The frame has little guides for the cardboard built in, so you really can't go wrong if you pay attention to what you're doing. The snaps will line up perfectly if you're done it right.

Fit right into my trane ac unit. You have to unfold and put the pleats in the right spots on the cartridge that holds the filter in place. Change this one out once or twice a year. Expensive for what it does, but will keep dirt out of inner ac blower assembly
