LANEIGECica Sleeping Mask

This is a fantastic product. I wake up with skin that looks healthy and refreshed like after a vacation or spa. Helps with redness and keeps skin moisturized during the night, so I wake up with a face that looks like a happy oily pancake, and I love it. I use a face wash in the morning any way, so this is not a problem but a good thing, why? Because this effect of sleeping with a MASK all night (highly occlusive) makes my skin super calm and way less reactive and sensitive than without this mask. This is the reason it's my Holy Grail now. It restores my damaged barrier.What's even better, the effect lasts for the entire day, so after I wash my face in the AM and apply toner, serums, etc., I don't feel like I need my regular thicker moisturizer, so I use something lighter: a gel cream or very light emulsion. And my skin still feels super hydrated from the inside! And it has more or less the same healthy color during the day as when I wake up (usually it's a bit gray-ish with some redness; after the mask it's peachy, vibrant, even-toned, calmed).I find that using it every night is a bit too much, so I use it approximately every other night.I use it ON TOP of other products, including a moisturizer, but for this purpose I pick a lighter moisturizer that I wouldn't use otherwise at night (trying to use it up as it doesn't work for me, but it's good as a layer underneath this mask). The effects of the mask are amazing if you seal your OTHER products with it! Btw, another great thing about this mask: it doesn't make my face red. I'm prone to mild rosacea (it's self-diagnosed) and I get red itchy spots when I use a heavy product. So it's important for me that my skin can "breathe" under this Laneige mask. I know it doesn't literally breathe, but what I mean is that it doesn't trap heat in my skin while being so occlusive.It also feels so lux when you apply it. It's soft and creamy and spreads very easily. It has a mild, pleasant scent, to me it smells like vanilla lemon cake?I just hope that the renewed version of this mask will be at least as good... I will literally cry if it doesn't work the same way!

I'm not good about reviewing items, but I just HAD to share my experience with the nighttime mask so far. It's been about a week that I've been using it in my evening skin care routine, and I am completely obsessed with it! I use this as my last step before bed, and I have noticed such a difference already in my skin's hydration level. I suffer from very dry skin, and usually I can see dry patches midday - but those dry patches are few and far between now, and I think it's safe to say that this product has a lot to do with that. You don't need a ton of it for the application, either. It goes on your skin easily and feels cooling and soothing all at the same time. The size of the container is definitely worth the price! My skin has a glow first thing in the morning, and I love it. Will definitely keep this product in my evening skin care rotation!

I’m a HUGE fan of laniege due to their lip products, i absolutely cannot live without the lip sleeping mask or their lip balms so I figured it was time to try out their skincare! for reference I was on Accutane years ago, resulting in me having extra sensitive skin to the point that even aloe vera is even too harsh on my skin & as well as very oily & acne prone.The mask feels absolutely great, I had no stinging or redness as or after applying it. It’s more lightweight than I expected it to be on my face, as well as there’s no residue after applying to worry about that may stain clothing or bedding. The next day after sleeping in it, my face was soooo soft and felt hydrated, but not in a greasy way. I had no noticeable breakouts from the product overnight, which shocked me since using the last cica product i used from another brand broke me out. I even noticed some of my acne was substantially less red as well as any other redness on my face was more minimal than normal. As of now I highly recommend this product, it feels amazing and results with it are very noticeable, I’ll definitely be repurchasing :)

I've been using this for about a week as part of my skincare routine as I prepare for my wedding. It's a thick cream with a slightly woody scent to it. I have combination skin and haven't noticed any clogging or breakouts since starting it. I use it only at night and wake up with clearly hydrated skin. It's brighter, firmer, and less red.

This has REALLY made an improvement on my skin. I have dry skin, suffer from eczema, so I wash my face with Inkey Oak Milk Cleanser and follow with this product immediately after getting out the shower. I've seen a huge difference. I don't need a lot of product either. Just enough to lather the skin and create a "protective coat" for sleep. I sleep on a silk pillow case. I wash it off it in the AM and use Inkey moisturizing set to start the day. This product works wonderful in addition to my morning routine.
