HOMZ Holiday Plastic Box, Set of 6 Wreath Storage, Up to 24", Red with Clear Lid, 6 Count

These storage boxes came damaged. The box was fine, but many of the red tabs were broken and in the bottom of the shipping box on arrival. Also, the clear plastic lids were also cracked and damaged. As I was trying to use one of the boxes that arrived undamaged, I went to hing the clip closed and it came off in my hand. I did read the reviews before I purchased and thought it would be ok because of the number of stars...DO NOT order this product!!! The person who wrote the review about the plastic being brittle was absolutely correct. The other person who replied that they have had these for many years without any problems, must either work for the company or is confused and has a different product at home. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND AGGRAVATION WITH THIS TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!! I cannot believe they are still in business!!!

I read some of the reviews...ouch! I then reminded myself that people tend to review things when they have a horrible experience or when it exceeded expectations. So, I just looked at what I needed size wise and took a calculated leap of hope. So since my experience exceeded expectations I'll explain what I needed it for and the technical aspects. I purchased a Halloween wreath that had a witches hat coming out of the left side and feet off the bottom, it also had all the wribbon and ornament eyeballs, etc. Needless to say it was larger than an average wreath and one I wanted to protect. These worked perfectly, set it in, slide hat to the side, flip feet up, line up holes, and snap in place. Having these allows me to go a little wilder for my inside wreaths. (FYI: when someone said they had gotten green I was totally jealous, for something that would sit in storage probably 350 days of the year, meh, I just like green better).

The boxes are exactly as expected and the price less than any brick and mortar store. They fit all my wreaths (up to 24") stack easily for storage, and the handles are a great improvement over the ones I was using. Poor packaging caused two of them to be cracked, but that's the fault of the shipper. I noted complaints that there is no hinge and they don't close. I did not find that problem. The two clamshells fit together by placing one on top of the other (in the rear there are pegs on the bottom, and holes on the top) and the clips fold over in four places to keep them closed. I noticed I had to be careful to make sure the clamshells were properly aligned so the clips would close properly - but once I did that there were no problems.

Absolutely junk. The handle cracked on every single one. The latches are difficult to lock and unlock. This was a waste of my money.

Great storage option for wreaths. These arrived in great condition, no breaks or cracks. The plastic is not as pliable as a typical Rubbermaid product but it's really difficult to find hard-cased wreath storage (unless you are looking for a zippered bag), therefore I can see how they would get damaged or cracked in transit or if dropped on a hard surface. I thought there might be a "hump" in the middle to keep the wreath in place but there's not. I had to "tuck" the wreaths into these cases, which was a little tricky to tuck and close at the same time. Overall, I highly recommend these storage boxes. I'm very happy with them.

The cases are pretty thin plastic and the hinges are going to break with just a few uses. One of them arrived with a broken hinge (see photo). The problem seems to be that they are molded into the base and the red plastic where it hinges is so thin it is clear or white. On the plus side, the cases are large enough to hold or our wreaths.

These are amazing! I was able to fit two wreaths in one and coil up all my banister garland to fit in the others. They stack well, too. The only thing is that two of the six came with cracked handles and by the time I got to the last two that were cracked, I had packed all the other 4 already. It would be soluch a hassle to return all 6 and get 6 more shipped just for two cracked handles, so I’m keeping them, but kinda bummed that two handles are already broken.

I had 2 broken before I ever received them. 2 of the lids were broken where they snap onto the base making them unusable. On of the bases already had 2 of the tabs broken off. 4 out of 6 were OK. They will work as a storage box, but the little tabs that snap the lids on are thin and hopefully will last more than one use. Guessing to use the next year, I'm going to have to wrap with packing tape to hold them together.

I use wreaths on all room doors, indoors and out, in various holiday seasons, so I have a large collection of them. These holders are better than the usual zippered bags in that I can stack them in our storage room without the wreaths lower down being crushed after months at the bottom of the stack, waiting for their season to be displayed. I wish these holders came in varying sizes, to accommodate all my sizes of wreaths!
