Synergee Commercial EZ Curl Olympic Bar Chrome & Black Phosphate with Powder Coated Brass Bushings Excellent for Bicep Curls and Triceps Extensions

Received my synergee ez curl bar today and I am very pleased with the quality of the bar, but was also impressed on how it was packaged! It was solid! I ordered an Olympic bar from Walmart a few months ago and their packaging was a total and complete failure. The tube it was sent in didn’t even hold up to it’s shape. It was bent, and the ends were cracked and taped. Never again.Back to the bar, I read in other reviews that it arrived a little oily to prevent rusting. It did, but I’m ok with that. A simple wipe down with a rag or cloth helped. I also read that someone found it difficult to find plates for this bar. It’s not that hard. I bought the synergee fractional and change plates and they work perfectly fine with this bar.In my humble opinion, Synergee has proven to be a great brand at a very competitive price.

Overall I am very impressed with this bar and would definitely recommend it. I ordered the hard chrome (didn't want red, I wish they offered other cerakote colors) and the finish looks good and is very even. Even though the hard chrome finish is fairly corrosion-resistant, it (like most other finishes) needs maintenance to pretect it from rusting over time, like cleaning and light oiling. The knurling is on the more aggressive side which is exactly what I wanted, and the machining on the collars looks good. This is a personal preference, but The collars do spin VERY freely which on a curl bar I would prefer they didn't spin as easily. One last thought is that this bar weighs about 20lbs compared to some bars which are 30lbs and I am glad it does. You can still fit 3 x 1.5" machined 45's on each side (not that you can curl that much) so plenty of weight and this offers a wider range of weight options.

Sad to say that the shaft is heavily rusted after just a couple months. Spent a good chunk of money on this hoping to avoid disappointment but unfortunately I am left with a rust bar that I’m going to just drop off at a recycling center. Steer clear of this one.

The bar is sturdy and very nice, however plates do not sit flush with this bar.There is a slight gap between the sleaves and the plates, so the weights have too much wiggle room and will sit at an angle when on the floor. Even with lock collars the plates still move a little...this isn't make or break, I still like the bar and quality, however it could be better.

This bar will outlast me, very sturdy, heavy duty commercial grade. Packaged very well. I took one star away for the knurling, it's more aggressive than I wanted or need, but it might be ok for you. I have used the bar a few times and it's not as bad as I thought. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again or to recommend it.

My barbell came and it’s great. After wiping down the protective oil it shipped with, I am doing all the curls for the girls. Thanks for making an affordable EZ curl bar. Fits standard bumper plates and iron plates, like the ones in almost all commercial gyms.The company stands by their promise to ensure satisfaction. My original bar had a manufacturing defect on the knurling. After contacting the company, they took care of the issue. I bought the kg color change plates and they are fantastic for my needs.Highly recommend!

Very nice bar however; it was tough to find weights to match it. I had to return it for another one.

i've held off from reviewing this for a while until i've had a chance to use it on a regular basis. I am very happy with this bar. It shows no sign of rust and works very well for me. I do believe it will last a very long time for me and seems to be very well made

Great bar, high quality build, ergonomics are bang on .Dont bother trying to pry the ends of the packaging off they are wedged in solid into the tube.I cut the packing tube at the top , bent it back and pulled the bar out.

My product arrived damaged, but I'm sure it's not the companies fault, looks awesome, sturdy and the attachements are very very good quality, for the price you can't beat that. I recommend 100%.

The mechanics of this bar are smooth, knurling is great, and the quality can be seen and felt. Be prepared to really dig in and get frustrated with the packing though. Make sure you have a star screwdriver and something to strip away 2 inches of 1/4 thick cardboard.

Great bar however getting it out of the shipping wrap was the worst experience I have ever had. Took multiple hand tools and 30 minutes of my time.

I really like the angles of this bar, good solid product. No complaints at all. Doesn’t feel cheap compared to some I’ve tried. Quality materials and craftsmanship.

Best choice for your $ , I am very glad I choose that product. High quality of materials used, looks and feels great. It’s my first Synergee purchase but for sure not last. Highly recommended. 👌
