Our Samsung Refrigerator also had the ice build up problem. We were able to order a very inexpensive kit online to fix this problem & it's been working great ever since! 👍🏻 If your a little bit handy this is an easy issue to fix. Samsung should've corrected this at the factory.Defrosting the unit to be able to disassemble & install the replacement parts is what takes the longest...

Samsung's Throw Away Refrigerator
After 3 years I noticed that our Samsung (Model # RA25H5111SR) fridge was becoming distinctly warmer. How I love the smell of decomposing food!!! (Not). Finally we got a Samsung trained repair guy to come out. Actually he came twice. After many hours he determined our Samsung fridge was UNREPAIRABLE. When I called Samsung customer service I was told there was "nothing" they could do and that I should have gotten the 5 year warranty. Clearly, Samsung has found a winning business model: Make fridges designed to break down after the 1 year warranty expires ( yet look good to attract customers) and unless s/he pays an additional $200-300 for an extended warranty (yet another revenue stream) when the fridge breaks down in 2-3 years -- make the customer purchase new one. Ingenious! What a lovely contribution Samsung is making to landfills everywhere, while raiding the bank accounts of soon to be ex-customers. .

Poor Product Quality and Poor Samsung Customer Support
I bought a 2014/2015 model from Lowes and it has been nothing but problems…Lowes and Samsung customer service (cs)---similar to pulling teeth from a great white to solicit support. Albeit, had Samsung improved their product quality control, this would not be an issue. A few months after taking delivery, oxidation/rust appeared on the freezer door below…and above the dispenser. My first call was to Lowes CS and I was informed they do not cover cosmetic damage (what???)--so much for their extended warranty (about $130--color me stupid). Ok, I called Samsung cs…same story so I tried an e-mail…no response. Called Lowes CS for help and was informed via a slightly vailed threat--"you will be charged for the service visit if it's determined Lowes warranty does not cover the damage." Called/yelled at my local Lowes and they agreed to exchange the refrigerator! Months later the ice maker broke--2 months to repair. 11 months after this repair…the ice maker breaks again. Another 10 day wait for repairs. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES AND DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT BUY ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM LOWES or any business unless you read the fine print.

Ok, just not the best
We've had this fridge for 4 years. The icemaker was good for about a year, then it started getting clogged very easily. The freezer compartment is on the small side. Will more than likely get a different brand next time.

don't waste your money!! Awful Samsung support!! selling fridge in area where it can't be fixed!!!
I bought a Samsung fridge that stopped working!! Worst thing is that Samsung 1)does not provide any reliable customer support, 2) does not make replacement parts for many of it's fridges, so once your fridge goes out, it's out for good. 3) the certified Samsung technicians in our area cannot repair Samsung fridges, 4) other vendors cannot repair Samsung refrigerators either because Samsung no longer makes the parts!! Samsung is not environmentally conscious as all the fridges that cannot be fixed are being dumped where????I didn't buy my Samsung fridge from Amazon. I bought it from Lowes. I am currently in the market shopping for a new fridge and thought I would look for my new fridge on Amazon. Amazon should not allow vendors to sell Samsung Fridges as customers trust Amazon to also guarantee that vendors are selling the best quality products!! Don't ever buy Samsung fridges. You will regret it in a few years. prior to buying the Samsung fridge, I had a GE side by side fridge with an ice maker that lasted me from 1996-2011. It worked perfectly all those years. I decided to upgrade to stainless steel and liked the looks of the Samsung Fridge so I bought it. Awful mistake. I'm back in the market looking for a new fridge. I hope Amazon pulls all those Samsung fridges and save their customers the head ache and waste of money as your customers trust you!!

they fit like a difficult puzzle
Extremely difficult to clean the drawers--removing them and putting them back in is a nightmare, they fit like a difficult puzzle. Food gets stuck in them and it cannot be reomved--as the drawers themselves can be removed but not taken apart. Waiting for it to break on me...I am not a fan of Samsung appliances anymore.

No hace hielo suficiente
Compré la mia en Rep Dom, no en Amazon pero escribo esta nota al ver las opiniones. Han venido dos veces a revisarla porque no hace casi hielo. Ya me cansé de llamar, ahora tengo esta nevera subutilizada, nada conforme con la compra.
